Wow, FUDsters seem to have taken over this thread, I don't understand why some people will base their conclusion on just a tweet that this project is a scam. I'm not trying to defend Qtum team but there should be more information in the space before coming to conclusion that this is 100% scam
Yep, it is very not clear now, if it is scam, why angel investors got screwed too? If it is real scam, it will be the hugest scam all of the world.

so, someone essentially steals money on a previous project and creates his own while at the same time trying to assume another ID are you honestly going to trust that person with your money?

BitBay response to association with QTUM co-Founder Patrick Dai The BitBay development team has been asked to comment on the possible link between one of BitBay’s original founders, and Patrick Dai, a co-founder of the QTUM Project. BitBay’s lead developer, David Zimbeck has confirmed the man using the name Patrick Dai from QTUM, was known as Steven Dai when he was associated with BitBay. Steven Dai walked away from BitBay with publically invested Bitcoin & millions of BAY from the initial offering which has never been returned. The BitBay team recommends extreme caution when it comes to investing in any cryptocurrency project associated with Steven (AKA Patrick) Dai. BitBay is more interested in letting people know about the future than reliving the past. Even without support from the original founders, David Zimbeck has continued with the development of BitBay. A fully functional decentralized Smart Contract client is freely available for public use and is the most advanced crypto currency product available today. That doesen't look like FUD. I wanted to invest into their ICO but after I read these news I don't touch it anymore.Edit: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=890531.msg17942817#msg17942817

If 'patrick' / 'steven' is a founder surly he invested at the start using his own cash (Bitbay's cash) so do Bitbay own QTUM?
He stole 200btc from Bitbay's ICO & used it to fund this project
Shit is hitting the fan for sure. Scammers make my blood boil.

This looks really, really bad for the Qtum team.
No one with half a brain cell would put money into this.

Do you think OP will remove all of negative posts? It is difficult choice for more investors, they have already got massive VC, but they won't get more money from us.

I read on another chat that Patrick is traveling. From what I have seen Roger Ver, Anthony Di Iorio, and all the top tier investors supported Qtum regardless. I will assume that they know Patrick. This accusation does not appear to be new.

My understanding of this QTUM scheme is that Dai and his co-conspirators will get their hands on the ICO fund, leaving the starry-eyed developers/ real coders with nothing. To salvage their reputation, they'll be obligated to finish the project pro bono, which means the pace of development will be at "volunteer"or slow speed. LOLZ.

What was few days back considered to be one of the best ICO has now turned out to be biggest scam. I wouldn't touch it with 10 feet pool now.Even if they weren't proved to be scammers, I wouldn't have invested because of high bitcoin price anyway.
