I read on another chat that Patrick is traveling. From what I have seen Roger Ver, Anthony Di Iorio, and all the top tier investors supported Qtum regardless. I will assume that they know Patrick. This accusation does not appear to be new.
So some people are unbiased to support him because of the project idea? Hmm, maybe this project will be successful, but it can't prove Patrick Dai is a honest person.

This looks really, really bad for the Qtum team.
No one with half a brain cell would put money into this.
What was few days back considered to be one of the best ICO has now turned out to be biggest scam. I wouldn't touch it with 10 feet pool now.Even if they weren't proved to be scammers, I wouldn't have invested because of high bitcoin price anyway. With this kind of revelation? Be glad it came out now rather than after investing in ICO and then exchange listing, it will surely nose dive and leave you with just 10% of your investment. So many other ICOs with great ideas to invest in with more trustworthy teams behind them.

I got a question, when will start the qtum crowdsale on their official website, how will this work,if they start it at 10 , i`ll be able to transfer the bitcoin before the sale starts ?
Have you not read what is being said here? There is a proven sacmmer involved here which is a terrible sign for the project. Please consider sending your BTC to me if you dont want it any longer I will put it to good use for you. I am shocked there was not more DD by the other founders of this project. It is terrible we find out in the last moment but better than after the ICO started. How is Rodger Ver involved has he already sunk his BTC in this? perhaps he is unaware this person steven dai is involved or is unaware he is a proven scammer. How to warm him asap. Who is the billionaire investor or does one even really exist? I heard there were some really big names in BTC involved here which is why I supported it but surely they must do more DD in future.

Bad news for Qtum. I wonder how the Angel backers feel about all this and if they will be able to get their investment back. Glad all of this came out before the ICO. A new level of FUD, you guys think Angel investors that invested millions into this project did without any due diligence, they are not any Joe on the street. Bitbay project has stalled for some time maybe the team is jealous of their former colleague success and trying to soil his image Are there any proof of the millions that have been invested? or are you just listening to whatever Qtum releases. This project started to seem shady after the release of so called big Chinese exchanges that no one has ever heard of. Also, the 51% reserved for the ICO while the remaining 49% is for the team. With 49% of Qtums and all the bitcoins they would of obtained, they pretty much have control of the Qtum market.

BTC to create fake volume, 49% free coins to dump on people at any price for profits...

Typical of Bitcointalk I see a lot of accusations. By looking into this I see one accusation. "Steven Dai walked away from BitBay with publicly invested Bitcoin & millions of BAY from the initial offering which has never been returned." https://www.reddit.com/r/BitBay/comments/5vlick/bitbay_response_to_association_with_qtum/I have not seen how much or any details beyond this. It looks like 1 Million Bay= 1 bitcoin so if he took 2 Million or 5 Million it also appears he worked for the project. If he was a backer of the project is this not normal? Can someone show evidence of wrong doing and not just making up accusation and accusing.

Read the reddit and/or check the old bitbay thread you will read all about this guy. He stole a lot of money and then a few years later thought that we all forgot about it. Reality Patrick/Steven The internet does not forgot.

Maybe the paid trolls have went to sleep. A very good point from above. If your not interested in the project stay away. I am in and this nonsense FUD maybe is coming from some competitors?

Im not interested in this project/pump vehicle, but i wouldnt mind seeing what some of the team and 'big investors' think about team members walking away with other projects development money, and being part of an organised pump group.

I wonder, how come the team has got so many good articles and it is only now that people know about the recent issue discovered ?

Well, a different name is being used. And i get the impression, Joshua has only just seen a picture of Patrick/Steven, for it to click into place who he is/was. David has actually met Patrick/Steven. https://twitter.com/joshuajbouw/status/834220054527012864

My understanding of this QTUM scheme is that Dai and his co-conspirators will get their hands on the ICO fund, leaving the starry-eyed developers/ real coders with nothing. To salvage their reputation, they'll be obligated to finish the project pro bono, which means the pace of development will be at "volunteer"or slow speed. LOLZ.
This is exactly what would have happened!
