Hi all,

The Moonrush web wallet is now complete, entirely web-based, quick and does not require a blockchain download to operate.

Am replicating my development environment onto a VPS; should be live later today.
URL will be posted once up and after some final testing.

james

Good morning from Greece. This web wallet is a very good job. Congratulation !  Smiley

I would prefer an algorithm which allows members to do mining with their computer or their wallet too.

According to NIST and ECRYPT II, the cryptographic algorithms used in Bitcoin are expected to be strong until at least 2030. (After that, it will not be too difficult to transition to different algorithms.)

Coinomi is not officially supported, it's removed from OP and a website a while ago.
There will be another solution for Android.

If you have issues with that, first make sure you understand how it works.
Lightweight clients keep your private keys client side (servers don't know them), but if there are some issues with barrysty1e's server(s),
ddos attacks or anything, you might be not able to get an access to your coins for a while, until server issues are solved.
That's why it's recommended to use full clients or paper wallets.
Anyway, if you see your transaction in any of 5 Mooncoin block explorers, there is nothing to worry about.

Before posting that your coins are lost etc, make sure that
1) you use an up-to-date client
2) your wallet is fully synchronized
3) if you send coins to/from exchanges they wait for a lot of confirmations, so you will not receive your coins immediately
4) sometimes gaps between blocks occur (due to difficulty readjustment algo issues which are going to be fixed in a new release),
so your coins will come with some delay in this case
5) block explorers don't show the transactions immediately, they usually work with a delay (several minutes)
6) lightweight clients may not show your coins if there are server issues.

If you think there is an issue, better post also your TX id or PM it to barrysty1e.

Mooncoin project http://mooncoin.com 40000+ funded addresses 2,000,000+ transactions. Exchanges: Bleutrade-NovaExchange-Coinexchange. Low inflation with gradual reduce.
5 independent block explorers. Record onto blockchain (free and without 3rd parties) MoonWord programming language + the platform written from scratch.

When you created a paper wallet,
you received
a) a public info (your Mooncoin address beginning from '2')
b) a secret info (its private key).

Now just send your coins to the address a)
when they come, you'll see them in a block explorer on a balance of your address.
First make sure that you printed both a) and b),
if you lose your private key b), you will not be able to get an access to your coins.

Never disclosure your private key to anyone, keep it in a safe place.

In the future when you need to get an access to your coins,
you have to use a full client, go to 'Console' and input a command importprivkey ______________
where ____________ is your private key.
Better to encrypt your wallet with a strong password before importing a private key.

Some important info to know about importing private keys (related to Bitcoin, but as well to Mooncoin):

When you import a private key, you’re simply adding it to the collection of private keys in your software wallet. If any bitcoins belong to the private key, they’ll now be included in your software wallet’s balance. But those bitcoins remain assigned to the private key: for instance, if you are importing a paper wallet, its bitcoins now exist on both the paper wallet and the software wallet. If anyone else gets their hands on that paper wallet’s private key, or have already had access to its private key, they can still spend its bitcoins. Additionally, any bitcoins sent to the paper wallet in the future will be credited both to the paper wallet and the software wallet.

Another important thing to keep in mind is that if any of the private key’s bitcoins are spent using the software wallet (i.e. making an online purchase), then the private key will be completely depleted of its bitcoins. Even if only a portion of its bitcoins are spent. This is because Bitcoin transactions spend the entire balance of a private key, and send any leftover change to a newly generated private key in the software wallet.

You should only do an import if you generated the private key (or paper wallet) yourself and no one else has ever, or will ever, have access to it.

Anyone who has had issues with the Coinomi wallet; please PM me directly.

james

So, does this mean Mooncoin is listed on Coinomi? because I don't see it as a listed option. Would love to see if there was any other wallet.

Hi all,

Moonrush wallet currently up at http://bazco.in, or alternatively http://wallet.moonrush.org (when it decides to start resolving).
Please test first with small amounts to avoid any issues; however it behaved quite well during testing.

This coin is getting some attention in various Slacks.  I've heard about it at least two now.  I'd say momentum is definitely increasing.  Purchased some at 1 Sat and am now contemplating adding more.  Will be following this closely and watching it on the various exchanges.  Good work so far guys.

re: a name only or also innovations

DigiByte is another story, listed at Polo, a lot of big Asian investors behind,
and it's innovative.

So can we and I have spoken about innovations and serious development.
Everyone needing Likes and the such, please use Facebook and Co. A serious coin does not need this.

Where have you seen it falling? Still ~25 BTC at 2 sat. Just about the same as yesterday.

Edit:
@Barry: The web-wallet looks nice. That's the kind of development, a coin needs.
Regarding the blockchain-problems, that should be the next topic, to be solved as soon as possible. Have you thought about developing an own algo for MOON, in order to solve the problems with PoW and PoS?

I voted!

Every week, C-CEX starts a new voting process to bring a new coin into the fold, while pruning out the dead ones. What we
want to do is wait until the current voting for the week is over, then hit it HARD when it restarts. This will discourage other
communities from other coins from participating, and ensuring at least a fighting chance at winning. Cheesy

You get one free vote per account if you have over 0.1BTC in your account, otherwise it is 0.001BTC per vote, and that can
come from anyone who sends it to the unique address that is created when voting starts. Something to be aware of! Any and
all BTC used in the voting process will NOT be returned or refunded, whether the coin wins or loses. So only vote with what you
are prepared to lose forever. Also, you cannot simply send a massive amount of BTC last minute to snake a win from another
coin: it has to have at least 1 confirmation in the address by the time the countdown hits zero in order to count.

I can personally vouch for C-CEX being a great exchange: was a major GRC holder for the last 3+ years there. I think this is
an excellent step up out of the low volume, lesser known and somewhat buggy current exchanges available for MOON.

Anyways, save up your bits of BTC for two days from now!

I sent some BTC to the address shown there and they cashed it out. Moon was sitting at 11 votes before they cashed it out.
Will the votes be counted even though they cashed it out? You can see what they did by clicking on the address.

Also who the fuck is voting for Darkmoon? from what I read that is a completely dead coin so whats their point?

to make that clear, my apologies if it wasn't. Sad

What you're seeing is the word MOON filtered out of the giant list of coins wanting to be on the exchange.

Sorry, you are misinformed or didn't remember things correct.

MOON never was listed at Poloniex, and never was removed from Cryptsy,
when Cryptsy stopped withdrawals and trading, MOON was present at Cryptsy with good trading volume,
that's why a lot of people in this thread reported their Mooncoins left forever at Cryptsy.

It's true that an original dev mentioned health issues before his sudden disappearing.

You're right, it's been a long ass time.

Mooncoin was however completely dead on cryptsy and was listed on the other largest altcoin exchange at the time, I just can't remember what it was. Poloniex wasn't that big at the time, but that huge exchange it was on, which also had tons of volume, got hacked as well and shut down. I lost a ton there. All my damn alt coins

Again, this is wrong. Mooncoin was never dead on Cryptsy. Quite the contrary, it even was one of the coins with the largest volume there often, until Cryptsy died. It was not listed in the BTC-market anymore, yes. But imagine a coin making the largest volume of ALL Cryptsy markets (incl. BTC) only on the LTC-markets. That was/is Mooncoin.

Mooncoin was never listed on Poloniex, as Mooncoin_Foundation already said. Please do your due diligence, before posting. Thanks.

Edit 1: Maybe you mean CoinEx? It was one of the first exchanges, where MOON was traded back in the day and it was heavy trading there for MOON, reaching over 30 sat. Then the exchange went down ...

BTW: MOON only  ~18% retracement in this correction phase. Check the list: Most other coins have gone down much more: http://coinmarketcap.com/

Edit 2: Now it's ~34 % minus. But still perfectly in sync with all other coins. Mooncoin will get stronger with every correction.

Coinex sounds right. hard to remember with the amount of exchanges that got destroyed. It 100% did die on cryptsy though, it WAS highest volume, pulling in a 1400 litoshi count, then pummeled back down to 10 lithosi (less than 1 satoshi) that's dead.
