to what? they don't show on site, says "ask us, as we have machines we cant sell" :/
also says "most powerful on market" ya 30mh/s more than L3, at TWICE the power -- misleading much?
ALSO says "atleast 1050w PSU" good luck on that they DRAW 1050 or more -- so misleading.
i wont touch these, they wouldn't try snow us so much IF they cared about this community as more than a paycheck

im still going all L3

compared to 230MH at 400W at also 1600$ for L3, ooo thats pretty close but still, mining being long game now it will come down to efficiency imo

over clocking to 300 MH goes that high .if ever get the cash for one I'll leave it at 230 mh and try to buy a second one later on ....i would think if you could over clock it to 460 that might make it 800 watts but i guess not and might be better off with two L3s with no over clocking .

I guess we could thank Bitmain for that ... i wouldn't bitmain all ways has some plan to get us etc....

what they told me for price on the A4 was 1700 bucks. Big whoop. $100 bucks off. Don't think the L3 has a lot to worry about.
(Though I'm still not getting one at this time) Sad

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

Negotiating with bitmain to get first dibs on their batch 2. Price will be cheaper than retail, and main thing is shipping will be cheap since I will get a pallet shipment. Ill pass savings on to you guys if there are enough in the US interested. Only downside is that the whole shipment will be delivered to NY, then I will have to ship each unit out from there to the rest of you (probably 10-20 additional if I ship ground...way better than the 100+ bitmain will charge per unit from china though).

You know bitmain does only 5% off on really large orders ?
something like 250+ machines

is there any evidence that the Innosilicon suddenly gained the ability to starting hashing at 300MH and dropped energy usage by ~200W other than a marketing release?

They could have switched to a serial power design...last time i talked to them their first batch of miners were parallel based design (ie about 4-5 chips per DC-DC power buck) in order to reduce time to market, and they were going to switch to serial later on(string of chips running off 12v like bitmain). If they did that in their new batch they could possibly gain 10-15% in power efficiency.

If the A4's can do that then owners of the A4's would be doing it now.  You can overclock them, but you don't see the extra hash on the pool side.  For example you turn up the speed to 1224mhz, the miner now says it is hashing at 281mhs(vs 275mhs in stock settings at 1200mhz), but you won't see it on the pool.  So the miner software can say anything it wants, but it won't change the outcome.

Secondly after the A4's are started they start off hashing OK(still not at the advertised hash rate, but better than it will over time), but the longer they run the slower the hash rate becomes.  So there is some tweaking needed done on the software for sure on the A4's so that they run better.  So if Inno is changing the wording of the marketing material that clearly is not representative of what the product will do.

Power consumption drop by 200w?  LOL, yea right...  The harder you push the A4's the more power they use.

Yes I wouldnt be talking to them unless it was for quantity :p I have a separate project going on, and figured I could help you guys out with price as well between discount and shipping price savings.

And if they do that I want a credit towards the new more efficient miners we were supposed to receive by preordering.  Grin

I spoke directly to Inno today and they told me that they went with the current parallel DC design to avoid burning up the boards during hi-load periods like reboots that happens with Bitmain designs such as S9 (and L3?). They tested the serial DC design as an option and found it too unreliable.

I watched one of Bitcoin Master's recent videos last weekend and was amazed to hear him talking about people burning up $200k of S9's by not properly cooling them.
It seems these Bitmain miners are extremely sensitive to cooling and power supply quality. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3-Y0CmZQjoE

As I'm planning to still have my miners running in 3 years, I'll always choose reliability over maximum efficiency or as Benjamin Franklin said “The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten.”
