No effect on the miners, just seemed odd to see such an old copyright on what is supposed to be a brand new miner. But if it is like that on the S9 and others then they are at least consistent! LOL

They just have not bothered to change that. Even my S9s and R4s say the same.
Does it affect the mining stability and hash rate? No. Why would the copyright text affect the mining?

Something I just noticed today is the copyright at the bottom of the screen on my L3's. The miner software is copyright 2013-2014. So it would seem that Bitmain has been sitting on the scrypt mining software for a while. Just thought I would pass that along as food for thought. They just have not bothered to change that. Even my S9s and R4s say the same. My guess is they copied the same miner GUI page from miner to miner and they don't have someone on staff actually updating it.

The L3's are stable and work very well. The copyright screen doesn't affect the miner at all. It was just a curious observation that the date was so old. But as someone else noted it is the same on the S9's and other Bitmain miners so probably does not mean anything.

So looks like they are still waiting on fab for chips on their next batch, and they are saying another month before they can place my bulk older. I'll update here when I get more info.

Most likely anyone with some feedback is true. They bought them cheap and now they are selling on profit.

My personal L3 has been running for a few weeks. Not 1 issue been running very smooth solid and with very few HW errors I think it can even be overclocked pretty easily

Yes probably in March or so.
Has anyone a link to 'clarify' this? I'd like it to be true....could use a 'reprieve' of a month or more....KNC Titans don't ya know...on the other hand current L3 owners would also likely want such to happen

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

This is good news. I hope they don't stop selling them like last time Bitmain put out a Scrypt ASIC Miner.

So that sounds like there will be short reprieve before the next wave hits. So it is looking like Inno's mention of 3 months with no competition is going to be correct. Quite interesting.

Bitmain AFAIK never actually sold their previous Scrypt design - announced they were working on one then dropped it.

This is good news. I hope they don't stop selling them like last time Bitmain put out a Scrypt ASIC Miner. YUP like QuintLeo said they never sold the L1 , but may have made it but never sold it to the public if they did , I still wonder on that one ...I want one of these but the price tag is to much so im gonna buy one of the A4 136 MH in a few month once i pay off a few more bills sense i do it as a hobby i can't see me wasting 2300 on a miner, 1300 is to much, which is what the A4 will cost me but I'm not willing to pay 2300 for a hobby ..if it was a Farm, i would.

The price from Bitmain for the L3 will most likely be somewhere around $1600 give or take. An interesting tidbit is that I have some L1 stickers on my L3 miners. Not sure if that just reflect batches, or if there is some relationship to the L1 miner. I don't know, but it is curious that I have these stickers on my some of my miners.

They probably mined in house with the L1 all these years. Figures. I think you are correct. This they would have put to use a long time ago. It raises more questions about crypto currencies as a whole considering nobody has been able to compete at these low prices.

I dont think this will ever get released outside of China to many large farms in china they probably buy up all the miners direct from bitmain and pay them not to publicly release them
