Or you can point your miners at https://solo.nicehash.com/litecoin/users.htm and try your luck at the LTC solo lottery...

just sent payment for one of those july 15 delivery L3's. bout to order a 100/220v step up transformer for like 60 bucks at bh photo video online store.

really hoping this beast gets here unscathed!!! all the fud kept me from ordering more than one...but at like 1.5 btc for everything i mean how could i

not. any advice you guys have would be greatly appreciated.

no rush since i got like 90 days beofre it gets here IF they decide to ship it to me  Grin

I tried one of these step up converters at home when the Antminer S7 first came out. I would run it for a number of hours and eventually it would trip the 20A breaker in circuit panel. I ran the same s7's using ATX power supplies and never had one problem with breakers. Decided it might not be safe to use and gave up on it

Also if you are at 29cents/kWh. Please buy Baikal miners. They are selling out very fast. But they draw very lil electricity and you can probably make money even on 1$+ electricity price. Scrypt(L3) algo coins can go down again like few months ago and you will be barely making money especially with big ammount on new machine influx.

1)
How do I set up the Antminer (worker) if I want to solo mine LTC?  (I have only found videos where they input the Pool worker under "General Settings")

Albortz, before we jump into answering 2-4 can we clarify why you want to 'solo mine' LTC? Solo mining is very rare today and can lead to long periods with no rewards. If you simply want to mine a single coin like LTC, NVC or Bela, the easiest way is to find a coin specific pool and simply point your miner at the pool following the pools setup instructions.

I suggest you read this: https://www.litecoinpool.org/beginners-guide and then think about these questions

a) Do you want to get the maximum profit per day from your miner? At 27c per Kwh, I suggest you consider this.
b) Do you simply want to accumulate LTC, NVC or Bela?
c) You are mostly interested in securing the LTC, NVC or Bela networks?

If you answered yes to a. and .b then I suggest you mine on Prohashing and get your daily profits paid out in any % of LTC, NVC and Bellacoin you choose. You can choose any number of coins and any % from over 200 coins to be paid out in and you will earn far more than mining any single coin.

If you answered b and c. then you just need to mine one of the coin specific pools and get paid out directly.

In terms of setup and managing an L3+ you'll find an excellent L3 tutorial here on the left: https://www.eastshore.xyz/tour/

Thank you for your fast reply Smiley

I was using different calculators online and they all told me i could make a tiny profit (atm with the momentary difficulty).

The goal is to diversify my capital a bit. If I buy LTC today I would receive around 153 LTC. If I mine more than that and cover the running costs (assuming price is stable and nothing breaks down) I would be better off. And I don't have to risk loosing my money in case of a exchange rate drop.  Beside that obvious idea, I like the idea of supporting and having this little adventure lol

I assumed the Est. Rewards would be based on my Hashing power of 504MH/s and the total Hashing Power of the network.  I thought that this is the ave. payout of coins I could expect solo mining.

I know that its impossible to mine SHA-256 solo and I expected the same from LTC (due to the market cap)  but i hoped, NVC and Bela would be less crowded and I might be able to achieve my Est. Rewards solo mining.

For Bela I found the mining pools listed on the .org site, but they have almost no Hash Power at all. 3 x L3+ would have more than the complete pool in most cases.

I will check out pro hashing in case I want to have payouts in multiple coins and collect a little stock to diversify Smiley

I hope that all made sense and if i am way off, please tell me. It seems LTC solo mining is stupid, but what about other less valuable coins. Like Bela or NVC i.ex.?

Also if you are at 29cents/kWh. Please buy Baikal miners. They are selling out very fast. But they draw very lil electricity and you can probably make money even on 1$+ electricity price. Scrypt(L3) algo coins can go down again like few months ago and you will be barely making money especially with big ammount on new machine influx.

I checked them out, beside the fact, that they are all sold out, they seem to be super expensive compared to the Antminer. And using the online calculation I get either just 1$ profit a day or in most cases even a loss.

But I will take a look around when new machines come on the market. I am really happy I found this forum Smiley

From my experience with the A4, nicehash payout is better than Prohashing.

You can solo merged mine LTD and Doge at  http://ltc.tbdice.org
I have been solo mining on this pool for 1.5 years.

Also if you power is expensive We host mining equipment at our data center at $55 a KW per month.

So for a L3+  your power cost per month would be $44.

More info at http://www.btcmeqc.com/

Hello guys,

Yesterday I sent payment (BTC) to Bitmain for 2 x Antminer L3+ devices, in meantime transactions stuck. Now I see that status of my devices are: Paid/Unshipped/Expired. If order expired does Bitmain cancel such orders? It is not fair if they doing such things, because I pay on time, and we all know how BTC transactions can be slow. Anyone has similar problem, what is solution?

Hey guys, my payment is stuck also as i didn't realise the payment fee was low when i sent it to bitmain Sad  any suggestions on speeding up my transaction?

Much appreciated

I do have problems like that. I've made a payment by money transfer but now it says Unpaid, Expired.
Am I alone in this or it's general problem?

I wired money aswell, same like you, said unpaid and expired. I think wait until monday...

Thanks for your reply, that's made me calm.
I do think we have to wait until Thursday cos of the Easter.

EDIT:
Answer from bitmaintech:
Sorry to let you know that due to the limited stock,we've already got the payments  to the maximum inventory we may have in May yesterday.
For now we really don't have miners available to ship out in May .
We can request to refund to you if receiving your payment after the order expired or you may consider to place new order available on the website now which shipping after July .
We will try to ship your order asap when we have enough stock in the beginning of July .
Sorry for the trouble and thanks for your understanding in advance .

So did ne one get shipping emails for april 15th orders?? I got the email saying it will be updated with tracking info soon (idk y bitmain started sending that pointless email out to buyers) but have yet to receive the email saying my order has shipped. This will literally be the first time in all of my orders over the years that my order wasnt shipped on or before the expected shipping date. I believe they r ahead of us by 12 hours sosunday night should be monday morning for them which means orders should have gone out that day first thing but...nothin. I dont have my psu's so its not like i can do ne thing with these miners yet but i rather have them sitting on my shelf than floating around  in transit or in one of their factories.

Most likely burning in your miners on Antpool. There was jump to 600Ghas today there.

Also Antpool going on/off with Segwit today. Probably Jihan will just say some hackers hacked him or something.

As I understand, these rigs use a DC-DC power converter.
How well regulated does the input 12VDC need to be?
I have a high-current DC source, but it can vary from 11-18VDC (not very well regulated).

Wow, that's not very regulated source at all.
You need it to be in the 11.6 - 13.0 VDC area.

Not just Antpool, but LTC1BTC and LTC.top have had huge hashrate increases, all of them non-Segwit signaling pools. Seems the first L3+ shipments reached their destinations in China.

Don't worry they will be shipped soon, after diff jump 30-40% for few days Cheesy.
I ordered for 5th Maj, diff will explode 2x or 3x until then....

Ordered also GQ1000 power supplies for L3+ devices. 9 gpus conectors (6+2) and it's cheap. No need for additional adapters.

yep same boat ..same May 5th timeline..this could get "interesting' in the way of an experiment on if getting 4 L3+'s May 5th..
in the same way the Titanic was an interesting experiment to test the stopping power of Icebergs on large ass ships!
