There is a thread about recomendations for the best wallet to use, but not all practice what they preach, so this poll is to see what people are actually using.
I understand that some people use multiple wallets of different kinds, so this poll asks which wallet is most used, this can be measured either by quantity of bitcoin or ammount of transactions.

I use Electrum wallet. It generates a seed when registered. The seed is useful to recover the wallet when we forget the password or when our laptop gets damaged.I also have a copy of it as backup in my pendrive.

I think if you had an issue with your web wallet there are plenty more to use and put all your bitcoins in it, in my opinion there are still reliable wallets out there that you can count on that can also give rebates depending on your transaction you do but if your issues are on the speed of their transaction? I think that is more relevant right now because of the high value bitcoin has attain.

Yeah these days the negative feedback against web wallets have increased a lot compared to the past, but the security features were highly advanced. Blockchain wallets were good to be used for anywhere accessing without any restrictions.

What is brain wallet?
Using a brain wallet means memorizing a passphrase and using it to derive keys and addresses, with no hard copy. This can be done securely, but it is very easy to choose an insecure passphrase and lose your bitcoin to hackers. Also, a long passphrase is hard to remember, band the coins are lost forever if you forget the passphrase. Finally, if you happen to die while using a bran wallet, the bitcoins die with you (paper wallets and other backups can be found and opened by family).
For those reasons, brain wallets are not recommended for regular storage.
Niche applications include holding on to coins in places they may be stolen or confiscated (prison, oppressive regimes (think 1984), very invasive border patrols, etcetera). If you use a brain wallet for this, be sure never to reveal its existence (better yet, avoid mentioning cryptocurrency at all), as you may be tortured and forced to reveal the pass-phrase.

If you don't have sole and complete control over the private keys, you don't have any bitcoin!  Signature campaigns are OK, zero tolorance for spam!

These are good recommendation why brain wallet is not safe at all because of these risks, and if nothing happens we many times in our lives become sick and ill and we have many chances that we can forget a part of the passphrase and lose all the bitcoins on that wallet. Not mentioning the cryptocurrency in the public or to strangers is a good thing too to escape any surprises but we can't isolate ourselves because bitcoin is getting bigger and bigger and one day soon we will spend our coins on the right places.

And that is the most used by bitcoin earners, because you can have your own private keys to make your wallet address more safe and secured. I have different web based wallet and all of them are 2FA activated/enabled, no one can access my wallets, only me.

i think all of users used the bitcoin wallet having  private keys for the sake of our money, and i think all bitcoin wallet have private keys that is why more investor put big amount of money in their wallet as their investment because all of us know that bitcoin has potential to give us big amount of income.

...

I recently got a Digital Bitbox, a hardware wallet which I like more than the Ledger Nano and Trezor, both of which I have used for a couple of years.  It just seems sturdier, solidly built.

The Ledger and the Trezor both have worked fine though.  But both of them required a firmware update along the way, a firmware update does seem kind of scary, so I moved my BTC out of them while doing the updates.

I also use blockchain.info's online wallet service to store some BTC, but only that I am likely to spend or transfer.  The Digital Bitbox is for cold storage.

As a cold wallet i use trezor. It is one of the most secure wallets created by Satoshi Labs that stands behind the very first mining pool - slush pool. The code is open source, it’s heavily reviewed by the community and so far couldn’t be hacked.

And for daily purpose operations I use Electrum. As it is easy to use.

So far the wallet that I am using it now was Electrum wallet and multibit hd, these are both good. I don't have problem with it for the past 3 months that I'm using it. And sometimes I used some exchange which have strong stability in this industry.

I think it's like when you memorize your seed phrazes and they are saved only in your brain, so you have a super safe "brain wallet". Grin
I've heard already about some people who have it like that. The biggest dissadvantage of it is, that if you forget your phrazes or if you die, your bitcoins are lost forever.
