I voted for web wallet. I'm using web wallet for storing my bitcoins and even though I know the risk of it. Still I trust our local web wallet for my coins. However, there are times that I think I need to use hardware wallets for storing my coins though they are not that many but just for security.

Web wallets are the best for the use though our wallets are kept in a third party website. Enabling the security features provided by the service provider helps us keep bitcoins in a more secure manner. Bitcoin wallets are found much, but very few are popular among the bitcoin users.

Quite surprised to see the votes so far, web wallet leading with 55%, I thought PC wallets would be on top due to security reasons. I had a perspective that web wallets are not as secure as PC wallets.
I use a lightweight PC wallet.

I have several wallets, including web wallets, exchange wallets and paper wallets. But for storing my Bitcoins, I am using two online wallets from Blockchain.info. In future, I want to move my coins to either a hardware wallet, or a paper wallet.

The results of this poll scare the ever living dog shit out of me.
What is wrong with you people?!
You don't own any bitcoins unless you and you alone control the keys.
Web-wallets suck don't use them.
Actually most of the bitcoiners here are the ones who receive and send bitcoins every day and hence they look for the easiest way of using them.

Web wallets are undoubted very easy to use and I agree that web wallets snatch the control of yours over your bitcoins, since they don't provide you the appropriate keys to access address in case they scam ( like coinbase dont give keys, xapo, etc ) while there are some wallets that do provide you keys ( rushwallet, etc )

I use a web wallet so I can access my wallet from any device. The dynamic type wallet address adds security. I use paper wallets too which I keep in my safe for security.

There is a thread about recomendations for the best wallet to use, but not all practice what they preach, so this poll is to see what people are actually using.
I understand that some people use multiple wallets of different kinds, so this poll asks which wallet is most used, this can be measured either by quantity of bitcoin or ammount of transactions.

I use multiple Bitcoin Wallets because sometimes Bitcoin spending needs quick transactions and slow transactions. I use the online wallets that are on Bitcoin Exchanges and this causes Bitcoin transaction confirmations within the hour. Though it doesn't happen all the time, the chances are far more faster than regular Bitcoin Software installed on a computer.

As for Bitcoin Software, my favorite is Multibit Classic because the Software sync's the whole Bitcoin Blockchain within the hour -plus the user interface is clean and minimalistic. Bitcoin Software is usually has a bunch of GB to download and it doesn't look good to the average person. Multibit Classic doesn't have people worrying about the whole Blockchain size unlike other Software's for Bitcoin for some reason.

I fully agree with that, but we must let people be free with the choices that they make. Most experienced Bitcoiners go for the ultimate safety and avoid whatever online wallet service, but that's obviously not the case with a lot people here that aren't looking at things from our point of view. People in that regard prefer convenience over the full control aspect. But the most important thing people should be looking at before signing up at whatever online wallet service, is that the service in question MUST provide you with the private keys. If that isn't the case, then people should avoid these services.

Brainwallet is a wallet that allows the retrieval of balance via a strong they call as private key. And brainwallets are the best way to store bitcoins if you do not want to download wallets on your system. I use rushwallet and as far as I know they are known as brainwallets and they provide you a private key which can be used on blockhain.info wallet to import that address with complete control.

I don't have that many bitcoin to invest in hardware wallet. I am also tired of constantly dowloading more blocks while using full validation wallet.
Therefore I chose Electrum as my primary wallet, with blockchain as big as 100GB only SPV wallets offer good mix of security and comfort.
I tried to use blockchain.info wallet too, but I got scared by lots of bugs discovered recently in that wallet.

The electrum wallet is good too, but not recommended to store your bitcoin in exchanger
you can't control your bitcoin there because you dont have a private key.

It's nonsense to limit yourself only to one type of wallet. In real life, you also don't have all your money in a single wallet. You have something in your bank account, something in your pocket, something in a porcelain pig and some part lies in your metal safe in the basement.
And that should be similar with crypto as well. You can keep some coins in a web wallet for everyday use, some part may be in an exchange, because you want to do trading and the rest may sleep as an investment in your paper wallet. To diverse your funds on more places also helps to improve your safety, because if your paper wallet burn, or your desktop wallet is corrupted because of broken hard drive, you won't loose everything at once.

I think it's like when you memorize your seed phrazes and they are saved only in your brain, so you have a super safe "brain wallet". Grin
I've heard already about some people who have it like that. The biggest dissadvantage of it is, that if you forget your phrazes or if you die, your bitcoins are lost forever.
Lol your fist line makes me laugh hard. Are you serious ? Then you are horribly wrong. Basically that phrase can be printed and you can give to your kids if you are so worried about it being lost once you die.
Brain wallet though now a day are not much appreciated by the community but still are quite useful.

Among the selection on the poll ive chose webwallet and most people do the same.Ive been using this because web wallets is somehow convenient and accurate to use on daily bitcoin transactions.
He's actually right, printing or writing the passphrase on a paper or anywhere but your mind would break the essence of the 'Brain' wallet itself. As we can see here on the wiki page here.

A brainwallet refers to the concept of storing Bitcoins in one's own mind by memorizing a mnemonic recovery seed. If the mnemonic is not recorded anywhere, the Bitcoins can be thought of as being held only in the mind of the owner. If a brainwallet is forgotten or the person dies or is permanently incapacitated, the Bitcoins are lost forever. Using techniques like memory pegging allow them to be memorized and recalled easily.
So if you print it on a paper, then it supposed to be called a Paper Wallet rather than Brain Wallet.
