Quite surprised to see the votes so far, web wallet leading with 55%, I thought PC wallets would be on top due to security reasons. I had a perspective that web wallets are not as secure as PC wallets.
I use a lightweight PC wallet.
You're right that web wallets are not as secure, but web wallets tend to be very user-friendly and easy for people to use if they're not very technical.  When storing a small amount of BTC, web wallets are perfectly fine.  There's also always the threat of malware infection, which would be likely to get to your PC wallet well before your web wallet if you were infected.  Hardware wallets, however, are pretty much immune.
Be very wary of relying on JavaScript for security on crypto sites. The site can change the JavaScript at any time unless you take unusual precautions, and browsers are not generally known for their airtight security.

I agree with you, first of all you need to take care of the safety of your savings. And the web wallet is not the best option for storing its savings. And still need to store their bitcoins in different purses

Just want to ask what the hell is brainwallet?Im curious about this thing since its my first time to hear out such wallet. Among the selection on the poll ive chose webwallet and most people do the same.Ive been using this because web wallets is somehow convenient and accurate to use on daily bitcoin transactions.
I think it's like when you memorize your seed phrazes and they are saved only in your brain, so you have a super safe "brain wallet". Grin
I've heard already about some people who have it like that. The biggest dissadvantage of it is, that if you forget your phrazes or if you die, your bitcoins are lost forever.
Lol your fist line makes me laugh hard. Are you serious ? Then you are horribly wrong. Basically that phrase can be printed and you can give to your kids if you are so worried about it being lost once you die.
Brain wallet though now a day are not much appreciated by the community but still are quite useful.
If my deffinition makes you laugh so hard, can you explain it with your own words? Smiley
And maybe you can find some inspiration in the meantime here: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Brainwallet

For now i am currently using an exchanger in our place. Although i am hearing other bitcoin users that it is not safe to use this type of wallets. I am actually planning to use an electrum wallet but i was still thinking about it
Electrum is quite a useful wallet . If you want to know more about various wallets and their advantages and disadvantages then kindly have a look at this link https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet and then decide according to your need the best wallet for you.
In my case I am using right now xapo (web wallet and I use it because it covers the fees of tx ) though I have used almost all the wallets.

I have been using the Electrum wallet for the past one year and i have not found a single issue in using it.No synchronising issue. Its a very much secured wallet.A seed is generated for password when we register. That seed can be used to recover our wallet when we forget our password or if our laptop gets damaged. Its generally advised not to use online wallets for security issues.

It's nonsense to limit yourself only to one type of wallet. In real life, you also don't have all your money in a single wallet. You have something in your bank account, something in your pocket, something in a porcelain pig and some part lies in your metal safe in the basement.
And that should be similar with crypto as well. You can keep some coins in a web wallet for everyday use, some part may be in an exchange, because you want to do trading and the rest may sleep as an investment in your paper wallet. To diverse your funds on more places also helps to improve your safety, because if your paper wallet burn, or your desktop wallet is corrupted because of broken hard drive, you won't loose everything at once.
This is perfect.  People need to take a different view of wallets because Bitcoin is genuinely a currency than can have everyday use rather than just being viewed as an asset to hold forever.

My advice for people's use of wallets is similar to my advice for their money storage in real life:

-If you're only interested in trading, hold a hardware wallet for storage at home and send smaller amounts to the exchange for use in everyday trading.  If you have smaller amounts, holding it in a lightweight desktop wallet would be fine as long as you're very careful about what sites you access.

-If you're interested in Bitcoin as an investment in itself and want to hold it for a long time, hold it in a dedicated hardware wallet, paper wallet or computer wallet and don't mess around with it ever, especially if you're holding large amounts.

-If you're interested in Bitcoin as a currency and want to hold large amounts, keep some of it in a cold or hardware wallet and leave some in a web wallet for convenient everyday use.  If you're holding small amounts, keeping it all in a web wallet is fine as long as it's quite secure and free like Blockchain.

There are so many uses that Bitcoin has and people always need to find different combinations for their individual situations.  I'm most interested in Bitcoin as a currency and for now only hold small amounts of it, which is why I keep it in my online wallet.

Yeah electrum is the best wallet to use the only thing you need to take care is just save your backup in a file and keep it intact so even if you forget your password or your laptop gets crashed you can easily recover your wallet and you will not loose any amount of bitcoin from that.

There is a thread about recomendations for the best wallet to use, but not all practice what they preach, so this poll is to see what people are actually using.
I understand that some people use multiple wallets of different kinds, so this poll asks which wallet is most used, this can be measured either by quantity of bitcoin or ammount of transactions.

I used 3 wallet such as web wallet, hardware, and electrum wallet, but most often was electrum and web wallet. So far is good to me and never encounter any such issues about it.

The only wallet I used as always was Electrum, I don't have a problem on this wallet so far for the past 3 months that I had been using it. It was cool, and I know many of the bitcoin users are also enjoying this wallet as their storage to save some few of bitcoins.

Before I used bitcoin wallet from different exchange then one of my friend here in the forum said to me using wallet in the exchange is not advisable to use it for a long term because their hosting sites are getting a problem it will be a big problem to me so He advised me to use bitpay, mycelium, blockchain, and electrum.

For your more information there's no yobit wallet and no web wallet existing with that name, yobit is just an exchange and better to call that yobit bitcoin wallet address. And once yobit got hacked like bitfinex crisis, then time to say goodbye to your coins. And ll you can do is cry out loud Roll Eyes

I think they are getting confused with the wallet because there are the signature campaign, where yobit sent there payment in their yobit account, saying that, they thought that it is a walet, but it is not. And yeah, better try to be careful or you will (literally) cry a river.

I think the desktop wallet is a wallet safest because you do not depend on a third party and you are fully responsible for your bitcoin.

I use the wallet here in my country called coins.ph because it has many good features like:
1. You can buy bitcoins easily in the convenient store.
2. You can pay bills or tuition fee in college universities.
3. Easily to cash out or withdraw your money.
4. Fast and smooth transaction.

paper wallet used if you want to save bitcoin for long periods of time. if you have a lot more transactions frequency, the paper wallet is not appropriate to use
