Discover what happened recently at iExec in this short update #3

Hey everyone,

Wassim here for a quick update on the progress of iExec. As explained in the previous updates, I would like to start a series of short summaries of what happened/will happen for iExec. You can expect regular updates every 2-3 days here on Reddit.

  • After PoCo Series #1 and #2, the team is now implenting Ethereum smart contracts of the Proof of Contribution. These smart contracts will guarantee the auditability and transparency of our consensus mechanism, and leverage publicly-available information (workers, statistics on participations, on-going tasks, accepted or refused tasks).
  • These smart contracts are heavy and challenging, which is why iExec has already started their implementation. While there is still work to tackle on the theoretical side, kickstarting implemented as of now and in parallel ensures PoCo is ready on time for V2.
CEO Gilles Fedak has been auditioned today at the French Senate on the topic of token sales, cryptocurrency, entrepreneurship and legal/fiscal aspects of blockchain startups.
  • JC made a 50-minute keynote speech yesterday at the Blockchain Developer Conference on "How To Supercharge Your App Deployment on Ethereum With Off-Chain Computing". http://www.developerweek.com/conference/blockchain-dev-conference/
JC will be giving a talk during the Tech Startup Fest at the ZGC Innovation Center in Santa Clara, CA. https://www.meetup.com/fr-FR/sventrepreneurs/?chapter_analytics_code=UA-67683510-1

You can expect a new Dev Letter this week, announcing a major milestone achieved + an upgrade of the DApp Store.
See you soon!

This is great news on the project. The team is very strong. The company observes all terms. I'm really looking forward to release version 2. This year will be the year of RLC.

I have something a questions! Currently iEX.ec is a step ahead of supercomputer projects! But what will happen when XEL wakes up? Will RLC have anything to worry about? Many say that what RLC does, XEL will do and other things... How will RLC be ready to share this market that promises to be competitive? Congratulations to all involved here, this project is serious.

There are quite interesting points in development update #3 where short summary about the CEO's participation in French Senate hearing on regulations for cryptocurrencies and intention on regular updates after every couple of days for reddit users. Those goals which iExec want to achieve are highly motivated and describe the future of the project.

Marketing needs to go out to the wider audience. Must cross the French borders soon, so that the world finds out what iExec is doing.

Huge potential and if marketing comes, new investors will come and will be #1 in this area you are covering...

I hold both cause I like both projects. But team hear is more legit so it's more public for everyone as I consider.

A major milestone has recently been achieved: iExec now supports Docker! Developers can dockerize their dapps and run them on a decentralized cloud.

Many miners will transfer their computing power to the RLC tokens after the release of the second version  of the product in May. This will be a very strong advertising for the project.

RLC pleases us with good news, new professionals always benefit the project. They hire really first-class specialists. A good PR will be partly created by the miners.  Social networks are active, partnerships are concluded, there is a listing on the binance, bitfinex and bittrex and others, conferences. In general, well done, keep it up!

iExec Dev Letter #14: Intel SGX Security and R— 14 Feb 2018

Hello everyone! While the last Dev Letter is only a few days old, we would like to already share a new one with you. We received many questions concerning security on the iExec infrastructure, and while there are many layers of security to take into account such as our Proof-of-Contribution, we wanted to focus this week’s Dev Letter on the Intel SGX technology. In the present article, we’ll explain how does SGX protect the privacy of dapps and efficiently control their execution. We’ll also end this Dev Letter by announcing the addition of a new application to the iExec DApp Store.

What makes iExec RLC token different than other projects is the development is going on under supervision of one of the top 100 best scientist in this field and already professional business which was running even before they started work on this project. In fact there are two most advanced projects in this filed one is iExec and other I will not mention here from four.
