Technical Update

The 'Proof Of Contribution' protocol provides consensus of off-chain contributions and makes the iExec system go round. Still wondering how it works?

The complete series of documentation on iExec's consensus protocol can be found in the link below:

https://iex.ec/news_categories/poco-series/
as i read in the blog, ... In May, we plan to have only selected private worker pools... means me as a worker i can get in this priv worker pool and stake my RLC? or i need to wait for sept. oct. realease.

looking for a straight answer. cheers

When will the main net start? This project looks quietly potential! I like the concept and I think this project will have a big future . I'll support as far as possible

Same question, people can already use GNT.

is already on, in may 29,  V2 will be realeased with POCo and more futures. prepare to use decentrelized cloud powered by iExec.

The team believes in a future of decentralized infrastructure and market network, where Big Data, HPC, IoT, and AI applications, highly valued data-sets, and computing resources (storage, CPU, GPU etc.) will be monetized on the Blockchain with the highest level of transparency, resiliency, and security. iEx.ec will be the key platform powering this future.

when and where you can see the results of the ICO Anniversary contest is still ongoing. and Yes congratulations on the first successful year of all early investors. the year was very successful for our coin.

Can't agree with "successful", basically in terms of btc price, RLC has done nothing but being a disappointment. ICO price was around 16600 sat, and we've just painfully got back above it with a 80% drawndown...
I don't count spikes here and there cause they didn't last.
is the success of the project only the price? now the success that there is a team, there are results, there are plans for the future. edge half plated thru hole projects a continuous Scam, and this project thrives and builds dalbnejhsee plans of team work, this is success.

In previous comments lot of people have showed concerns over the lack of marketing and low market cap. Once there will be enough application and development it will be pushed up by marketing which will provide support to sustain all the holds then.

hi, jbrg, may I ask a possible frequently-asked-question?
What's the difference between SONM and iExec?
Can I mine it?
If I can, what kind of rigs do I need? CPU, GPU?

If I can, what kind of rigs do I need? CPU, GPU?

SONM and iExec can be said to share the same vision of a new Internet infrastructure enabled by the blockchain. However, their respective go-to-market strategies differ. SONM aims to approach fog and edge computing from the beginning, while iExec first focuses on supporting Dapps to build a decentralized cloud. iExec's existing SDK kit allows developers to build their apps directly on top of iExec, so any Dapps will be able to be powered by our network - the possibilities are endless.

After V2 is released we will test the (first ever  Wink ) decentralized computing resource market network platform and later allow any 'workers' (providers to the network) to join and contribute. It will initially start with just CPU providers, V4 will have a greater focus on GPU. That being said, our team's GPU expert, Eric Rodriquez is currently exploring the capabilities of GPU. So as ever, we will keep you posted in our updates with any developments.

More news about providers joining the network coming soon!

This is very intriguing. Recently announced the cooperation with a very large player (Ubisoft). Apparently next week announce cooperation with those companies that will provide their computing power in version 2. I wonder what these companies are.

I am not interested in companies that provide capacity, but in the time when it will be possible to launch a large mining pool on this platform and how much their capacity will cost, since it is now comparable to the cost of purchasing power.
