Will Bitcoin overcome Paypal?

I think at this time, paypal is still not official institutions that have many branches in different countries, maybe 10 more years of bitcoin will beat paypal.

i think bitcoin is already an official institution and its service is already present in all over the world. therefore bitcoin can easily overcome paypal.

Thats how Linux users could say about their OS. Thats its fairly superior to Windows. Its more diverse, more secure etc etc. Yes bitcoin is the Linux and the Paypal is the buggy bluescreened Windows.

But there is a reason why the Paypal and Windows is the no. 1. Its the corporate consensus that all of the softwares or in case of the paypal, buisnesses, operates using Paypal/Windows and not Bitcoin/Linux. Money talks and those who have a more money and power dictates the "free market".

In my opinion, the reason why paypal or windows is still on the no. 1 over bitcoin and linux because they are earlier to be launched rather than bitcoin or linux but even though they are the first system to be released there is still a chance for bitcoin or linux to dominate the market soon if they just continue the good things that they have been working for a lot of years.

We already have the ability to create our own marketplace with OpenBazaar, that uses Bitcoin as its payment method, so it should be no surprise that the combination of these two may be a fierce competition for both eBay and Paypal.

I believe it will since it is safer better and cheaper. It is easier to use and you do not even need a bank account. Thst is the best part about bitcoin.

Bitcoin is not that much strong still, and we need a bank because the other methods are a bit costly for normal users and medium and low level traders.
I strongly feel that one day Bitcoin will overcome PayPal as PayPal is only good for some countries but Bitcoin is universal.

Bitcoin at some point in time is going to become more accepted than paypal but there is a long way to reach that point especially since paypal has establish itself as a brand that is respected by the general public so bitcoin has a lot of ground to cover before overcoming it.

I don't think it will be a long way or wait for more than years because bitcoin is starting to overcome paypal because of its features and the advantages of using it. One of the proof that bitcoin is now overcoming paypal is it's starting to be accepted by the people around the world or the countries to be specific. Like the latest news where Japan is starting to accept bitcoin and there is a lot of stores who are starting doing it.

The news about Japan are great but let’s not deceive ourselves that I only one country and Japan is one of the most advanced and progressive countries and cultures that does not mean bitcoin is going to gain the same acceptance in other countries.

In contrast, Bitcoin gives you freedom by allowing to quickly accept it without the need for ID verification, having access to bank accounts nor credit/debit cards. The fees are extremely low, and you can send money to anyone in the world in a cheaper way than traditional payment methods.

However, while the advantages of Bitcoin are numerous, PayPal has been an established payment processor for quite some time, leaving its trust to recognized merchants and businesses. I believe that as time goes by, and Bitcoin matures, it will become more recognized, eventually making it a mainstream currency. There are some issues that need to be solved first before Bitcoin can really become used in the mainstream world.

Nevertheless, Bitcoin's future is uncertain which would lead its doubts towards becoming a full-fledged digital currency to handle massive transaction capacity, due to its never-ending scaling debate. If no consensus is reached, then another cryptocurrency might take the lead and become a better competitor against traditional payment processors like PayPal. Just sharing my thoughts.

Before know bitcoin I am loyal users of paypal, I had already proven that bitcoin is better than paypal, faster, safer, and opening the wallet only need 3 minutes without verification, whereas paypal need credit card verification should be prone to abuse

Rather they will directly use bitcoins. But for places where bitcoin is not accepted then they might have to first convert bitcoin. And i don't personally feel that bitcoin will ever overcome PayPal. Like if it does then i would be good for me as well as all those who use bitcoin.

Yeah PayPal functions in a better way as business people and users around expect. Thiel has informed his interest on using bitcoin several times, so in future it might gets incorporated with bitcoin so that people can use bitcoin through PayPal too rather than overcoming.

Yes. PayPal has a wider audience than Bitcoin itself, as it is much older than the latter. But I believe that if Bitcoin solves many of its issues which are essential towards becoming used as a mainstream cryptocurrency, it will help attract major merchants and businesses worldwide into adopting it.

There 2 things that are key towards helping Bitcoin overcome PayPal, and those are scalability and fungibility. By having privacy over its transactions, as well as being capable to handle bigger blocks, it may become the top choice for anyone who would love to start their business with the digital currency. The consensus from the miners, developers, and community will greatly determine its future.

you are right. I honestly see that bitcoin is much better than on paypal, from any aspect. but, today, people still think that paypal is still better than in bitcoin. Fast transactions, are you talking seriously? ten minutes for a transaction is a very long time in the best case. Remember we are living in a modern world where every second count and waiting for a confirmation is not acceptable ok, maybe you can send money around the world very fast that fact is undeniable but for a local transactions bitcoin is a pretty slow that's why I talked before about scalability  maybe with Segtwit and the lighting network bitcoin can overcome many payments systems but now, we have this issue.

Bitcoin has a lot of branding hurdles to overcome. And also usability concerns for newbies and technologically defunct (i.e. old people). Mobile apps are getting sophisticated at a rapid rate so I'm sure these problems will be solved quickly. As long as the market catches up, we should have nothing to worry about.

But it is definitely faster and more secure than PayPal. There is no 3rd party involved in the exchange, so yes I hope Bitcoin does eventually replace PayPal. 

in addition to faster, you're also free to use bitcoin for anything. because of the decentralization that makes you free to use bitcoin for any transaction. it was better than paypal

Yes that is one thing of bitcoin weather it's gambling or purchasing something illegal from deepweb  bitcoin is better. But unfortunately we cannot use to buy everything with bitcoin as it isn't accepted at many places when compared to PayPal.
