Bitcoin is surely better then paypal but the fact is not many people are aware about bitcoins yet so they prefer to use paypal as it exists since long time and even almost all sites have an option of paypal which is not the case with bitcoins at a moment.

Bitcoin can overcome paypal only if all online sites starts accepting bitcoin as a mode of payment or else people will never come to know that they can pay even with bitcoins as paypal is more popular then bitcoin at a moment.
Of course. If there is no wide acceptance from online stores into the digital currency, it will not be known among everyday people. However, as Bitcoin becomes more valuable each day, it will gather the attention of major merchants from around the world to begin accepting the cryptocurrency to help spread its mainstream use. The day that Bitcoin becomes more recognized as a payment method, it will be such where the pioneer cryptocurrency would overcome traditional payment processors. It still has a long way to go towards reaching PayPal, or even Visa's TPS levels, but I'm certain that Bitcoin will become improved up to a point where it could handle virtually anything without sacrificing decentralization. Just my opinion.

Paypal is just a payment processor whereas Bitcoin Is a currency+Payment system .
If you are just comparing the payment system Then I Think Yes It can easily Overcome And can have larger user-base then Paypal.

It may conquer the payment system but those people that are into PayPal for a long time will remain to PayPal. And they are not going to give up their PayPal account and funds there easily. But if they will realize that bitcoin is a good way to store their money and make it as an investment, it will be the start of bitcoins era.

Nah, i think it cause of being anonymous of bitcoin that can be use in scamming, one example of this is there are lot of carder ( they phishing paypal) and paypal doesn't do anything about it because it not reliable for them to know what customer do in its account, when paypal to bitcoin comes out there will be a lot of scam because scammer will cashout the paypal funds into btc and the person who got scam can't have any info to protect his side.

Being anonymous of bitcoin is cannot be blame for being scammed by the scammers because it is fault of the person who got scam because if he is smart in doing transactions then he can avoid getting scammed. The anonymity of bitcoin is a good feature because it will help us to protect our self from the other bad people if they want to track us or get some info.

Bitcoin being more famous than PayPal shouldn't be that hard to do. PayPal is listed as a scam from many people's perspective of it since PayPal likes bullying the people that use the payment company. Bitcoin can't get shut down so easily so it would be pretty tough for PayPal to reall fight against the coin and the community since PayPal is within bad-standing among the community. Maybe PayPal might wise up and integrate Bitcoin within their payment system ASAP.

Correct. Both PayPal and Bitcoin are different from one another in terms of currency usage. But, they're similar in ways that they could be used as a payments system. Bitcoin has a lot to improve to be able to outperform PayPal, but I believe that its time may come when Bitcoin would scale to handle a large amount of transactions in the mainstream world. Right now, in my own opinion, Bitshares and Litecoin have the possibility of becoming closer to rival PayPal, due to their high TPS and the increased transaction capacity (Litecoin). Only time will tell if cryptocurrencies will replace traditional payment systems. Just my opinion.

In fact, many online payment processors like Solid Trust Pay, Payza, Perfect Money etc. already integrated bitcoin, so I really think that Paypal will have no choice but to follow it. In the long term, I really think that bitcoin will overcome Paypal. It's simple really. Bitcoin gives anonymity, more security, possible profit if price increase etc. Paypal can't offer it to the users.

No. Paypal provide an additional layer of protection for buyers ,BTC does not.
If we start counting for features which BTC provides and Paypal dont then it will be a too long post to read. BTC is a currency, a better technology, an asset. BTC is far better than Paypal which is just a service which rips your money as fees.

I can say not now. Paypal is far more establish payment processor than bitcoin. Aside from that customers have added protection from merchants. Probably when bitcoin is full developed and the scalability issue is fixed. Bitcoin have the potential to overcome paypal but it is not yet at this time.

Bitcoin and PayPal are not exactly in the same category, Bitcoin is a currency, while PayPal is more like a service or something. So, they can not be compared. Bitcoin is competing with other currencies, fiat or crypto (even though altcoins are not even a threat), while PayPal is competing with other similar services.

For some reason, very often it sounds that PayPal can compete with bitcoin only, that it's just two different things and They are very rarely related to each other. Could it be better and we can only look after some time? This is after the crypto currency has gained popularity among the society.

but to me i think they are in the same category, because we can see that now most of the shops are accepting bitcoins for shopping method just like paypal. althoug bitcoin is a unversal currency while paypal is a payment method but here both paypal and bitcoin are using for the same purpose.

Paypal is for people that don't take risks. The Bitcoin user is an entire different demographic.

Exactly. Bitcoin has many things that PayPal can't offer, and it should only be a matter of time before individuals and merchants realize that Bitcoin is the way to go. Since many payment processors have already adopted Bitcoin, it shouldn't be long enough before PayPal integrates the cryptocurrency into its platform. When that happens, Bitcoin would have a better advantage over traditional payment methods, and become the top choice among businesses and individuals alike. Also, we would be able to buy things with our Bitcoins in ebay, when PayPal makes the switch to it. Just my opinion.
