Something being "too anonymous" is not a valid reason for why it doesn't have the ability to beat another payment medium. There's never such a thing as "too anonymous" anyways, since you're either anonymous or you're leaving information that can trace back to you.
Just stop using (or mitigate using) the government-provided currencies and start campaigning for more Bitcoin acceptance if you want it to become something that will be more commonly used.

Bitcoin can be overcome Paypal, very capable, bitcoin has many advantages over paypal, I think paypal is too complicated, while bitcoin is very simple, just send and finish. Simple and fast, i really like to use bitcoin rather than paypal

Very possible but not now since bitcoin is about to get mainstream. Paypal is already established while bitcoin is gaining ground yet. Lets give more years and bitcoin will become mainstream and even shake the financial world. Its already started as we speak as far as I know.
i think still the are some people who are still using paypal for payment method. and may be there are some online stores who do not have enough knowledge about bitcoin and therefore they are not still accepting bitcoin for payment. i also think that it will take some time. when all the online stores will start accepting bitcoin and when all the people who are already using paypal for payment start using bitcoin.

bitcoin currency and paypal arr belong into different field. we use bitcoin as virtual crypto currency payment and paypal is in a common or traditional payment. so in the next 10yrs or decade paypal will still be the up over bitcoin.
I think the main point is, we have to admit marketcap currently paypal marketcap is still greater than the bitcoin and I bet 5 years longer bitcoin will overcome paypal.
You can say bitcoin and paypal differently. But what about users, what if many of them prefer bitcoin for payment and send money compared with paypal? Of course bitcoin can beat paypal?

I can't say bitcoin and paypal are different. Although, bitcoin is a cryptocurrency but serves as a commodity and also serves as an
electronic payment. While, paypal supports online money transfers and serves as an electronic alternative to traditional paper methods like checks and money orders. I don't why people view bitcoin and paypal differently since they were both use as a medium of online payment.

I don't think any cryptocurrency can ever beat/replace PayPal. Cryptos are not accepted widely, and given that PayPal is already renowned by many major companies, I doubt they would want to switch to Cryptos.

Unless PayPal adds a Bitcoin as a payment option, then Bitcoin may become more popular as a 'digital currency' used through PayPal, and I hope that it can be added to merge both payment options. Cheesy

"Cryptocurrencies are not widely accepted" that is the problem of ours as of now and we all know that it is very normal because cryptocurrencies are just young and they are just proving their selves that they are worth to have and i think after at least 3-5 years we will see a cryptocurrency like bitcoin that already surpassed paypal because of its good features.

Paypal has a lot of issues even though it is very reliable in terms of transactions and security of buyers. You can e assured to get your refund if whatever you bought did not match your specifications. Also is the seller was after scamming you, you can always make a chargeback and your funds will be reversed. However, given that most people do not like doing things straight, bitcoin takes the day because of its unregulated nature. Once bitcoin are sent, there is nothing like a reversal or chargeback. Many people would opt to use bitcoin because of its simplicity.

PayPal is still popular also as there are freelancers who also know bitcoin. But the question is starting from those employers that are not willing to adopt and start using bitcoin. The mindset that bitcoin is "only" being used for illegal things are sticking to the minds of employers so there are still a lot of paypal users.

Bitcoin is a currency and Paypal is a payment service. Bitcoin can be used anonymously and Paypal cannot, Bitocin cannot be reverse its transactions but paypal can, some of abouve benefits are the good reason why people will use Bitcoin instead of Paypal so that, yes, Bitcoin can overcome Paypal, not now but maybe in the future

If Bitcoin keeps on like this, it will never overcome paypal. But if scaling problems will be solved, fees go down and transaction will be instant, well, it has all the features to be the most used payment method in the whole world.

Well said, but the problem is that unscrupulous people have invaded the bitcoin platform to scam people. They are taking advantage of the unanimous nature of bitcoin to scam people. With Paypal, you have to verify your identity and residence-meaning you can be traced if you default. But for bitcoin, nobody will ask you to verify your identity nor residence. This means nobody will ever trace you in case you scammed them. Therefore, serious business people will prefer using Paypal than bitcoin.

in regards to the number of users, daily transactions volume and probably the total marketcap and deposited amount, bitcoin now by far exceed it, this is due to a combination of growth for the user base of bitcoin and hence the quanitity of transactions and the x5 in value in few months making each transaction worth more than it used to before.

to me I think it has already overcome paypal. because now people are giving more preference to bitcoin.  because now almost every shop is accepting bitcoin for payment and bitcoin is accessible from everywhere. therefore people are using bitcoin instead of paypal, as paypal service is not available everywhere, and in most of the areas people do not use paypal for payment method. therefore they are not giving preference to bitcoin instead of paypal.

Where do you see almost all shops acepting bitcoin? Merchants still support paypal and bitcoin inst an option at all, there are stores dedicated to bitcoin as a lot projects. Paypal volume usually is from sales, while bitcoin can be the simple fact of moove the funds from one adress to the another, but well at this stage maybe paypal has lost already.

u cant get banned from a bitcoin wallet, but u can get banned from PayPal. As paypal continues to fuck over more merchants, and allow fraudulent chargebacks, people are looking at Bitcoin as a payment option

Source for this?

because now almost every shop is accepting bitcoin for payment and bitcoin is accessible from everywhere.
Almost every shop?
Let's stop with the nonsense here.

I can give you 10 of the worlds biggest shops that don't accept bitcoins.
Let's start with amazon continue with walmart and tesco and  the list can go on and on and on
Not that most of them accept paypal either

therefore people are using bitcoin instead of paypal, as paypal service is not available everywhere, and in most of the areas people do not use paypal for payment method. therefore they are not giving preference to bitcoin instead of paypal.

This makes no fsense

The chargebacks. Yeah. Seems like merchants are having problems with this that is why they want to trade from bitcoin to Paypal with priviliges. I mean those who are only verified are the one who can do the trade.
My Paypal account is not verified so I am having problems hoe to buy bitcoin with that Paypal account
The trust is lost. Maybe I will be withdrawing it for now before I can use it.

Yes, PayPal services are sending a fraudulent payment e-mails to many people in European region. But bitcoin doesn't had that kind of experience to any bitcoin users. In potential wise also bitcoin is topper than PayPal.

Common, you know it that is not true.
It wold be all over the news if paypal would have done a thing like that.

The fun part is that you can't distinguish from scam mails so be careful what you might read next.
