Technology is good. We'll always have inventions that help us in our daily lives. But sadly, due to its abundance, we can't control it. Even I can't. I want my kids to play outside, enjoy the sun and the games, sadly, I can't. They're more like be related to technology based games (smartphones and tablets) and see our old way of playing as weird or boring.

i agree with you, Anybody can easily upload pornographic material for commercial purposes or just for fun. The young minds of children will be corrupted through their exposure to things which are reserved for adults. Many well-known personalities are also victimized by opportunistic and malicious people who want to discredit others using their personal encounters.

Negative effects of technology for me is that being Isolation Social isolation is characterized by a lack of contact with other people in normal daily living, such as, the workplace, with friends and in social activities. We isolate ourselves by walking around in our own little world, listening to our iPods or staring at the screen of the latest mobile device even when we are around other people. Studies have shown that people who are socially isolated will live shorter lives.

That's why there are lots of sex videos that are being leaked in the internet with these kids, because of these technology, many young people are involved in a sex video in such an early age. Many porn sites are freely accessible by kids and they can watch it everytime they want.
It is also a reason why there are having premarital sex and early pregnancy and marriage, many young people here in my country got married in such early age because they are pregnant, such technology can put dirty ideas in such pure minds of the youths, parents must be really careful these days unless they want their child's life ending up as a ruin.

In fact, technology eaten our daily activities. I think that, we cannot live without social media like instagram, facebook, youtube and any other social internet sites. We should not encourage our children to have this kind of technology in their young age. Childrens must experience to have enough time to play in outside of the house to have a new friends. We should not give them Ipads , Xbox, or any gadget that is not appropriate to young age. They must have enough time to be in their own playgrounds and having a lot of friends, to experience like what we have experience and to enjoy the true happiness of life

It all depends on the parents. If the parents will show the children that they sit all day in the house at the computer - this is good, the children will unknowingly copy them and become dependent on modern technology. And if parents are free to go for walks in nature with children, then children will have other hobbies. Technique is good, but only if you know how to use it correctly and teach it to others.

Its better for the children to play with their IPads rather than they play outside with the super hot weather that can cause heat strokes. I remember there are already many students who join the athletic meets died due to heat. Pollution is a major factor and the climate changing why the children are always looking on their ipads. But as a parent it is our duty to keep everything in balance, we must give time to our children to use the Ipads and a time to read books, watch television, chatting with the family, and other activities. It is not the fault of the children why they are focused on Ipads it just means that the parents are so busy that they give their children Ipads do they will not disturb them. So if we don't want children to keep staring on Ipads let us not buy one and spend quality time with our children.

Actually, in many cases, technology can be helpful and if used the right way can indeed be helpful in uplifting the human race and in this connection our own children. However, I agree that there should be a balance in between things. Parents who are not active in dealing with their children may find it good to just leave their children using the latest gadgets available...in this case the problem is with the parents and not really with the children as they are in need of guidance and most of the children still do not have the adequate comprehension of what is right and wrong. Parents should start behaving like parents and show their children what should be done and what should not be.

If you are violating anyone's privacy then you will be held in front of the law and you can use filters to block certain website if you are having children at home so that they wont be able to access porn.These sort of problems you have mentioned here can be controlled if you are wise enough when you are using these technologies.

That's so true, but challenge is always good - challenge is what makes us better. We've gone through so much progress, created (and keep creating) all these amazing technologies to make our life easier by delegating some responsibilities to gadgets and software.
It all happened rather quickly if we look on a bigger scale of the history of humanity. Now we need to pull ourselves together and use all the time we have responsibly.
I hear people saying technology keeps us from communicating. Hell, no - it lets me to stay in touch with so many people, it erases barriers for families and for business. If I'm an introvert, I avoid talking to people and technology has absolutely nothing to do with that, it helps me to send a message instead of making a call  or learn something online instead of having an empty conversation with someone. Maps help me to avoid getting confused when people give different directions to the same location (oh, that happened so many times ) and somehow, I still see friends when I want to because we're humans and we crave communication to some extent anyway)
At the end of the day, now it's just more important to live consciously and really think what we are doing and why.

Technologies allow us to do things efficiently. Therefore, they save our time. Let's imagine that car was never invented and horse was the only mean of transportation. Clearly, it would cost much time to travel to some points in our lifetime.

On the other hand, as the technologies grow rapidly, our economy's dependency to it increases. Human labour is replaced by them. A crucial point that have to be denoted is that the technologies need energy to operate. As I remember, the main source of energy at the moment is that oil. A problem will come up in that event that the oil supply is shrinking Dramastically and the main energy does not move from oil. the global economy system is going to crash and surely this event will cause many victims.

I feel the same. I used to live in a downtown apartment, surrounded by computer and tv screens, used to order food and work from home. I know how it feels to rely on technology in every aspect of life and forget about nature and I would advise anyone living like that to take a trip to the country just for a day. Turn off your phone and you'll feel empty without it and the internet. It will be a shocking experience, like your were taken by force from your safe space and placed in the wilderness.

This right here looks deep. Sometimes people get so busy with their cellphones, tablets , game consoles or etc. They dont notice that they get far away from each other. They spent more on these device more than their families and friends. I feel a little bit sad because when I was young I spent my life making memories with my lovedones. Those memories cannot be surpassed by these devices.

Technology is, for the most part, a really efficient thing that can help us in our everyday lives.

However, I'd argue that even the term "technology" is too broad for us to use. Technologies are invented all the time. Even the simple pencil is a common technology.

If we are talking in terms of computer technology and electronics (not getting nit picky) I'd say that, again, good when used by good people.

Technology allows us to complete work faster, get to places easily, and even live longer! It does so much, including Bitcoin, but there are many negative side effects. If you've read the book 1984, you know that technology can become very dangerous in our lives.

Governments can use it as a way to spy and destroy, citizens can use it as a way to steal and commit crimes, and companies can use dangerous elements in their products to limit expenditures but make huge profits (such as putting unhealthy heavy metals in our computers and what not).

I'd argue technology are great advancements, but we must always be critical of what we are doing with it and where we are getting it from. If something seems wrong, we must stand up and make it right. Otherwise, a 1984 situation could be upon us.
