Negative effects of technology

My concern is with AI and face recognition.

Of course AI will have some valuable and unharmful effects, but consider the case of the Japanese robots developing their own language. Things like this are scary.

As for face recognition, I think it will have a devastating impact on our privacy.

Negative effects of technology is that it can become you dependent to it, you can't do anything without it.

Technology gives you opportunities and it's YOU who decide how to use them. Use them wisely and there will be no harm. The only technology I think is harmful - progress in weapons... People please make love, not war!

There are quite a number of negative impacts of technology on the individual and the society as a whole. Described  is a negative effect of technology on the individual's health.
Being overly connected to technology especially, personal computers, laptops and etc can cause psychological issues such as distraction, narcissism, expectation of instant gratification, and even depression. Beside affecting users' mental health, use of technology can also have negative repercussions on physical health causing vision problems, hearing loss, and neck strain.

Some of the negative effects of technology can be linked to the effect it has on sleep habits. We get sucked into online activities that keep us up too late and the constant stream of information can make it difficult to turn off our brains. Also, the ambient glow from screens can affect the release of melatonin, the sleep chemical. Keeping technology out of the bedroom would be a very healthy habit to acquire.

Disagree. it all depends on people, for example, my family also sees each other as often as they did 5 years ago. My cousin is 9 years old, she has a tablet phone and friends on the street. Just everyone has their own priorities

Let's admit that technology gives us so much convenience that there are times that we no longer need to do our tasks and jobs. However, I'm afraid that we have become to reliant on it. I fear for the day that technology will collapse and due to calamity or whatever may be the cause, and we will not be able to adapt anymore because we got so used to it. In addition, there are also negative effects when it comes to our health, like obesity for example.

Technology should not be blamed in any thing that might happen to the user because they are just things, remember?. Humans decides whether he/she wants to abuse the rights in using the tech abnormally that might cause them a negative effect.

For me, the negative effect that I noticed from every people who uses technology is they don't socialize personally with each other. Technology is a really big help in our society nowadays. It help us to finish our task easier and faster without asking help from other people. But technology also have a negative effects like many people especially children are being addicted to gadgets that we should avoid. We should use technology properly and balance to avoid problems.

The manufacturing of weapons of mass destruction and deadly viruses that can kill millions in a matter of seconds is one of the negative effects of technology in the current.  Man is always know to be violent and with the help of technology they are able to kill  a lot of people in a short time,
