Crackfoo, my profit and hashrate lines are going all Swiss mountains for the last few hours. Problems with the front end? My miner reports no anomalies and has been hashing all the way through without apparent disconnections. Just wanted to check everything's alright and all of it is registered on the pool...

Lyra2v2 port, by the way.

I bought a miner to mine and make the most profit from it. No other reason. nicehash pays the most. In 1.5 days I have made $8.23 USD. My estimate is $135.00 to $140.00 per month. I cannot make this on zpool as the admin said my machine will make $2.00 /day on his pool.

He also had to resort to insulting me which means I hit a nerve. I don't care what pool I'm on. I am in it for the most profit, not to make friends. If a pool isn't making me good profit I will say it. Don't like it? Make the pool better.

OMG I still can't stop laughing.....

Pool webpage won't display??
This is a common problem when there's something going on behind the scenes; like a payment being processed, or a database being rebuilt/backed up....

if you checked your miners directly, you'd see they are/were still online =)   It's only temporary.

I was fiddling with awesome miner, it was left minimized in tray with mining stopped for some hours but it kept polling pool api(I didn't know it worked that way), when I tried to start mining again but pool would not serve me work, tried a few ports with same result, instead temp banning api requests, pool banned my ip from getting work, I had to release ip to make it work again, seems odd to me.

I cannot connect to zpool from one of my farms (one external IP):

Pinging sha256.mine.zpool.ca [198.50.152.135] with 32 bytes of data:
Reply from 198.50.152.135: Destination port unreachable.
Reply from 198.50.152.135: Destination port unreachable.

However I can do it from another IP in another farm. Everything is OK?

a. DNS resolves to correct IP (198.50.152.135), so it isn't DNS problem.
b. "Destination port unreachable." response indicates some problems on end system, anyway tracert looks like this:

10    33 ms    33 ms    33 ms  94.23.122.240
11     *        *        *     Request timed out.

The reason I mention it, is because the DNS can effect your route across the network paths.  Looks like crackfoo is onto it though =)

The maturity status looks wrong on the Ninja coins for Phi and x16r. The timer has no number to count to on the graphics page. Perhaps I am seeing something wrong.

The pool figures that out automagically so for new coins its yet to know the finial count untill it passes.

How does zpool select which coin to mine for an algorithm with multiple coins? Is it always the most profitable one?

you are gonna have to figure out how the yiimp pool code chooses.....   crackfoo knows not the trickery afoot...

neither do I... I just have an idea based on what I have observed.

In the simplest terms;  its complicated.

So I've been trying to select the algorithm for the top coin I see on whattomine.com. Is this not a good idea based on how the coin choosing works?

So I've been trying to select the algorithm for the top coin I see on whattomine.com. Is this not a good idea based on how the coin choosing works?

There are many stratigies talked about in these forums with the bonuses and drawbacks of each.

The pool chooses how to divy out the workunits to miners based upon coins available, nethash of those coins, price currently for sale at the exchange for, price last sold for, hashrate calculated of your miner over x time, and a bunch of other variables.  Stratum does the job for you;  or someone's implementation based upon whatever data they draw from to arrive at a decision what to mine.  depends on the mining package, and it depends on the way you connect to the pool weather stratum or the app picks.

As I said... complicated.  There are many strategies.  I suggest reading through the faq's that are available on the mainpage or discord forum as well as the many discussions searchable on this site.  Reference the yiimp pool code for any questions on the autoexchange process or stratum's decision making, and reference the program creator/source notes for the miner app you are using.
