BOScoin, however promising the project, is horrible at market communication.

For people with great technical insight it works, but for layfolk it's almost impossible to understand the significance of the details.

Another thing is that threads on the boscoin forum are closed by the moderator constantly, without answering important questions. And comments are not allowed on the youtube videos.

If people are too sensitive to take a bit of flaming and critisism, they shouldn't be doing market communication, easy as that. The only way to build a community is by letting people participate and only moderate them in absolutely extreme cases. People don't feel respected if they're not allowed to speak their mind and they will leave for other projects.

I hope someone from the boscoin team reads this and replies.

It sure has been! To recap the answers:

1) There is no risk in losing any coins by running a proper node. However, if you try to maliciously alter the node software to forge the blockchain, your coins will get confiscated and sent to the commons budget.

2) It's hard to tell exactly since the MainNet isn't live yet. You can use this calculator to get some high level overview of the rewards in the first year based on some assumptions. Feel free to modify the default assumptions to see how the rewards change.

3) The genesis block contained 500,000,000 BOS, which is also the current available amount. Once the MainNet is live, new BOS will be generated through the rewards system.

In relation to item 1), the boscoin blockchain itself has a mechanism that could deny this malicious act as an alert for the coin holder not to lose his coins? So, before any action in the blockchain I believe it would be better to alert the user of this malicious action and later  try again confiscate your coins

That information hasn't been shared yet, but the consensus algorithm will probably be able to tell if a node is trying to forge the blockchain. When you are running the node software as intended, there is no risk in having your coins confiscated.

AngeloMike has been spreading misinformation and telling lies for the past months. You should be skeptical, but it's safe to disregard pretty much anything he says, unless he provides proof, which he hasn't done up until now.

We don't have any insight on the team's financial situation, but we do know they have at least 40 million BOS stored in their foundation account. This information is publicly available on the BOS blockchain.
