Agreed, this is completely unnecessary and so confusing for new users. I see this a a major downside of the coin that will affect adoption especially since there is no easy way to get the account. Contrary to what others, and especially devs, might think, setting up a wallet, figuring out how to use Slack and asking a Bot for and account (provided the bot works and devs aren't on vacation at the moment) is certainly not simple and not an easy way.

I'd love to hear from devs if there is any benefit or technological requirement for this indeed very weird implementation.

Absolutely. I don't see why I should care about a coin that can't be used until you buy some on an exchange then use it to buy an account. Banks don't charge to open accounts. If they did no one would use them.

Of the dozen other wallet setups I've used for different coins, this is by far the worst.

At least PASL wallet actually works. Look at ETH or MUSIC wallets, those are way worse, freezing/not replicating or even if they do it takes forever.

On your previous point about mining: setting up a private key for PASL literally takes like 3 clicks and from that point on you just add it to your miner config, point it to fairpool and you get PASL accounts filled with your mined coins.

Let us know if you need any help.

Please forgive me, I'm new to mining.
I created a PSAL wallet, and mined with fairpool to achieve 12.25 PASL.
My wallet shows the transaction(s) with more than one 12.25 PASL deposit, but each one seems to generate a new account.
Each one lists "without payload"
and each transaction directs me to change key.
How do I get into my PASL account?  I can't figure it out.

any guide how to work with wallet? I can't find my acc id or anything I have created some private keys but this wallet is really confusing...

When you use the wallet for first time you dont have an account. You must remember every block gives 50 pasl coin reward and 5 accounts. The 50 coins is store in one of those accounts. The accounts are in the form of 12345-67, easy to remember number system just like bank accounts.

Now, you must have an account to store your coins into. You can mine on a pool and once you reached 12.25 pasl an account with the 12.25 pasl will be transferred to you through the public key you use. Solo mining is hard now because of high difficulty.

Or you can buy an account in here. Sign up first, the are instructions there on how you can buy an account.

pool.
fairpool https://pasl.fairpool.xyz/
suprnova https://pasl.suprnova.cc/

or take a chance and post your public key here. Someone might be generous enough to donate some to you.

how do I sent the balance from my other 4 accounts that were mined each containing 12.25 PASL while I slept?
what does the change key message mean?  do I have to change a key somewhere?

Tbh I've never sent any funds but I guess you have to click on the account, then go to operations tab on the right side - then click on the arrow pointing to the right so the account is selected and then click on operations and then you should be able to send it to one account.
Don't really get the point of this wallet - it could be so easy Tongue

I guess you're using the desktop client, right? I have never had any similar issue with the accounts received from fairpool. Can you perhaps post a screenshot of the message along with a step by step description on where you click before it pops up? Also what version of the client you are using?

I was able to transfer funds from the additional accounts generated by mining directly to my wallet address to the initial account created by mining to wallet address.  -no problem, no charge.
I changed my -dwal to my XXXXXX_XX  PASL account #
The website is so sluggish, I can't update stats, but the miner is back up and running

at the bottom of the list of my transactions, is the "key change" entry.  (im not sure if this just lists that my new accoutn is activated?)

any working pools??

I'm using https://pasl.fairpool.xyz
There are also instructions on how to mine an account (but you can also get one for free one using the slack account-bot).
You can dual-mine PASL together with ETH (or other Ethash-coins).

Interesting, it is working for me as has been all day. I have logged in at least 3 times today. You might want to try the direct link to your account/public key.

I use a public key so the syntax for it just the following:

https://pasl.fairpool.xyz/#(INSERT_YOUR_PUBLIC_KEY_HERE)

Make sure you keep the # in the link and insert your key after it.

Unfortunately I don't know if the same syntax applies if you are using an account, but it worth a shot.

Im not getting any new jobs from fairpool for some reason. I assume they are down right now but the site is up and working. The last hour Ive gained 0 PASL and my miner just stated that there havent been any jobs from fairpool for 30 min or so. Looked in the history and there hasnt been a job from fairpool in about 30m-1hour.

anyone else having this issue?

Weird, I have checked and it does the same for me. But it seems like it does not really affect the mining itself, since the it just reconnects a few seconds later and continues to submit shares. I don't see the usual "new job from ..." status messages either.

Yeah mines still sending shares as well, but seeing as im home all day I just swapped over to mining regular pasc for the time being. Last time fairpool went down I dont remember getting nearly as many pasl as i should have for my mining with as long as it was down.

Edit: another weird thing i noticed with fairpool is that its no longer providing info on block difficulty or the pasl exchange rates which is odd.

No wonder, difficulty and nethash rate has increased alot. Think about if each coin would cost 1000 fiat money Smiley

Regarding the pool issue:

Pool was overloaded and had an outage earlier and its back online. Sorry for the inconvience.

Regarding the exchange issue:

Me, and 2 other members from the dev team have been trying to get into contact with anyone at Crytopia. We have created numerious support tickets, I have tried to PM the dev on Bitcointalk forum who originally helped get it listed on Crytopia, I have tried talking to about 3-4 individuals on the Crytopia discord and got no replies.

We are doing what we can. Its out of our hands if the exchange is down, we can't do anything on our end. If you got some free time, write a support ticket and with enough tickets they will maybe reload the wallet.

Regarding the PASL profits:

Currently there is an Pascal ASIC thats finished production and there are thousands of GPUs which are dual-mining this coin. Hence its not wise profitability wise to solo or single mine this coin on GPUs such as the 1080Ti. Please only dual mine this coin along with some other Ethash type coin.

Regarding the accounts issue:

We will make a guide to make it more clear on how you need to get an account. Depending on what you want from this coin, you might not even need an account.

If you just want to mine and sell. You can just mine to your Crytopia address directly or just mine directly to your PUB key and you will get sent an account.

If you want an account to buy and hold PASL. Then you can buy an account in our marketplace, get one for free instantely on our Slack channel, or if you are buying PASL OTC you can ask the sender to include an account since all they need is your PUB key.

Hi,

Thanks for the summary. Any chance/progress with getting the coin listed somewhere else as well?
