No news can affect the price.

We had big news without any effect on price, while big moves on price without any significative news.

Actually, to a good approximation, news and rumors have effect in price if, and only if, they are relevant to Chinese traders.  Most of the large swings from December to May were clearly due to Chinese news; and none of the news that are relevant only to the "West" (Overstock, Dell, Paypal, BitLicense, etc.) had any significant efect.

Only a couple of large price swings in that interval remain without explanation, and may or may not be due to events outside China.  Ditto for the "pump" episodes from May/20 to Jun/10, and the various "dumps" since then.

I am telling you sub $330 BTC will never happen again.  If it does I will never post in this thread again.  Huge pumps are incoming in the next few mins / hours

By Monday, you'll agree with me.

Thanks for the insider information!
I really made some huge profit from these pumps.
Can't wait for them to start again!

Anything on requiring auditing yet? We're in-between exchange fuckups at the moment so it would be best to have that in place before the next one happens.

its probably more focused on KYC and AML then actually protecting consumers

Monetas is coding voting pools as fast as humanly possible.

Real-time automatic auditing which both prevents operators from stealing customer deposits and also prevents operators from refusing valid withdrawals.

I missed some fun while I was gone this morning. Wink

Will I go to heaven for doing this?  Ummmm NO!  The entire point of Christianity is that nothing we do can earn our way to heaven.  It is just out of God's love for us we feel compelled to do things for others, no strings attached.  It is hard for many to grasp this concept I guess.

About those Bitcoins though.  I was kinda hoping the price would have gone up by now.   Undecided  When I was in the early stages of planning this trip I figured that BTC would be well over $1000 per coin and had big ideas of funding much of the trip with BTC.  Things don't always work out like we planned.  Thankfully all the funds are raised anyways!! (each person going was responsible for our own airfare and lodging of course) We had to come up with over $15000 for just the conference.  We also raised over $15000 for the water wells and food/clothing for the other outreaches too.  It is going to be an amazing trip.  I will give an update of how it goes when we get back.  And no one is being forced to "convert."  A forced conversion isn't a true conversion anyways.

Edit:  I thought perhaps a few people on here would be interested in hearing some good things that are going on, and Bitcoin is funding part of my expenses of the trip (not as much as I had hoped but that is the way it is.)  Also, I am planning on mentioning the Indian website www.unocoin.com to the founder of the group we are working with. I already mentioned BTC to him when he was in the states a few months ago and he was very interested.  The thought of less fees for currency conversion was extremely appealing.  Also, I am looking to send some Bitcoin to them on the next Bubble, God willing.

Well that's the one thing religion still does. It provides some kind of moral guidelines rules for those inable to adequatly form them for themselves.
Unfortunatly those  unevolving guidelines rules can be turned, twisted and (mis)used by good and bad people all the same.

I for one am glad I can rely on my own "love" and intelligence to critically develop (a neverending process) my own moral values and incentives to help others.

That doesn't mean I don't respect your humanitarian work and recognise the fact your doing good.
Enjoy the trip!

These swap numbers (specially BTC) can be so easy manipulated to any value that it is now worthless to look at it.

Long squeeze := cheap coins := shaking weak hands := HONEST DUMP = profit taking / loss stopping Tongue
Also, most shorts probably have stop orders attached (mine is around 371).

Should we use Bitfinex or OkCoin trend lines? mmh

In one or two days the Bitfinex triangle should close and we should decide which way to go.
Or maybe some big whale just decides to market dump (that I cannot predict  Cheesy) on support right now, we break down and panic ensues.

Some support on Bitfinex was just pulled (while other 1000 BTC was dumped on few hours ago).
