There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

just a warning i had someone who owed me 6.3K usd ...told him he could pay me in bitcoin....as soon as it hits my address btc will tank

just a public service warning......I'm 4 out of 4 on such stuff no reason it won't go down 5 out of 5 in the same manner Smiley

LOL, must be nice to wield so much power over the markets. Grin

you laugh now it is supposedly in the process of being sent....the weekend slump will likely be all on me

woe is me ... (trying for a reverse jinx removal here...the last 4 times I was optimistic btc was gonna go up...I will now try reverse psychology!)

FML

I long for the good old days of oct 2013 when btc was $150 usd and I just got my sparking new knc 550gh miner...then 2 months later it spiked at

1164 usd......I was a god.......told everyone about bitcoin.....now my friends shun me like an amway salesman....

so yeah an irrational doubling of btc would be nice vs the irrational halving of price of the last few months

it should be incomprehensible in both directions imho just to be fair Smiley

Although I really enjoy your self-deprecating humour, I honestly can't believe anyone can be that unlucky Smiley

Let's hope it's fifth time lucky for you (and the rest of us).

Let's hope it's fifth time lucky for you (and the rest of us).

lets just say my 'newbie' year from summer 2013 has been exciting

BFL down 8.3k got it back 1 year and 20 days later as a refund due more to luck of upgrade then any skill (that and fact bfl was close to being hit by FTC)

got a knc jupiter 550gh oct 18th have made around 50 coin on the beastie still working (it is the carrot to the rest of my lucks stick)

alpha scrypt miner refunded like 680 usd my 1/3 down via my amex card (one of the few) promised miner july may get one to customers in dec but again got my $$$ back and out

knc neptune (bailed out wise) to get a knc Titan (jumped to alts dumb)  ...march 27th when KNC represented all the good in the world etc...then they went from nun to porn star
to the dark side.....Titan is likely at best I'll get 1/2 roi back ...assuming they work which there is some debate..KNC seems to be saying if it don't work and it does not arrive
on time (month late) because of no refunds we don't have to pay zip cause we call everyone a biz and the machines experimental .....still want to find out who spiked their
kool aid to turn them into asic nazi's but ....blindsided on that 180 degree stab in the back

spondoolies 6.5Th the became a 4.5th at like 1/3 more watts and a 60db noise level (hardly great with all that for home use) I did mention the home use angle and such
on their forums and they contacted me via PM on my post saying they would give me a refund..they did not have to and I likely would have ROI'd on their aug sp30 unit
anyway ..but took the refund...the ONLY company (so far back still itches) that I would pre-order from ..but alas at these btc prices that is not yet to be

the 4 attempts on optimism was chump change to get up to like 2 btc on coinbase .but again out of 4x it tanked each time ...my trend with www.coinbase.com to get away from
further tanking the home miner market...seems destined to the same fate..

now I'm getting refunded 6.3k in btc ...so yeah....I'm pretty much gonna kill the dream if it all runs on the same pattern ..wikipedia will show my avatar (god help me if they
had my real name you guys would lynch me mob/torches the whole parade) as the guy who tanked bitcoin....they will forever be unsure of how I actually did so..but some
things science can't explain

so it goes...now www.coinbase.com is my friend...although 4 out of 4 going down has not been too friendly yet ....anyway when the 6.3btc hits my address it will be
like a nuke going off supersizing an elevator cut cable like effect on btc i'm sure

(again go for the reverse psychology angle ...trick the Wiley bitcoin!)

Sure has gotten quite around here, all of a sudden.

$353-ish is a pretty low BTC price.  I don't know how low you expect BTC prices to go?  Doesn't sound like a bad thing to be receiving a payment in BTC at these prices in these times.... especially if you are capable of holding for up to a year if needed.

Keynes is already baked in to the price. Honeybadger isn't irrational, it just doesn't give a fuck.

In 15 days or so the myth that Bitcoin price will ever be higher than 1 year before, no matter when you bought, will be busted.

How are you feeling?

Or do you think we will see another rally in one week?

Sideways on low volume for a few days means it's dumping time on bitfinex. Probably revisiting 330s.
