So the Winklevoss twins did not even mention the COIN ETF at Money 20/20, is that right?

I suppose that there are restrictions about what one can say in public about an ETF before it is approved by the SEC.  But they did talk a lot about it before, e.g. on BloombergTV, right?

Could their silence be somehow related to the alleged freezing of SMBIT by the SEC?

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

Unless Bitfinex goes offline when the next breakout begins. Then you will be stuck with fiat. These unregulated exchanges tend to do that during panics.

You're assuming most of my fiat is in an exchange. That would be reckless.
Of course not. I am saying you will be excluded from purchasing bitcoins until the panic buying ended at a much higher price, unless of course you already have a contractual agreement to make OTC purchases.

The main question with ETF will be "How can you prove, that the majority of bitcoins aren't held by criminals, who earned them during the time when bitcoin was almost solely used by the black market?"
And this question can't be answered.

Regarding ETF, I think that it is possible that rumors around it could cause a quick spike upwards for bitcoin. My guesstimate is about 500$ max. I highly doubt that ETF will go through though. Too many risks for it to backfire badly. The problem will probably be in the lack of transparency regarding ownership of existing coins.
So, BTC is still not a good gamble for me. Alts still have more potential and easier thresholds to overcome for further growth.

For quite some time I though that wink twins were only playing the community and that they dont own even close for what they are saying. They either sold or never even bought that much and they just want to become some sort of gurus of the community.

Bitcoin empereor JorgeStolfi is going to speak tomorrow! I expect at least a 300% rise during/after his speech, and that is still a conservative outlook.

We went up a bit. Which resulted in a big dump. I bet those people who just got dumped on can't wait to buy again.

I will leave this place soon. Bitcoin is dead, it's only down from here and i sold everything i got quite a while ago so there is nothing for me here anymore.
I tried to help the few delusional bulls who just won't give up but they don't appreciate my warnings very much. Ah well, your money. I don't care really.
I'll come back every 50 dollar drop for some entertainment. So long and thanks for buying my coins at 400. Poor schmucks.

Good luck with your pump and dump coin.

I feel sorry for all the idiots who sold at these ridiculous prices and i will laugh at all the bears who will get caught in trap after trap the coming weeks.

The only winners are the holders (like me) and the people who pick up the last cheap coins while they can.

We're going up and it's confirmed!
