I may not post a lot but I've been around for quite some time. It appears to me that the large majority of FUD is coming from the "Core" camp.

It's not just FUD. They have also used censorship and sabotage.

It's interesting to see how much this thread recently changed from price movement discussions to block chain and other discussions.
Coming back to price discussions and bitcoin forecast, we see that the technical analysis methodology works fine to predict bitcoin prices. And with that, speculators and investors can save time. No need to worry about blockchains, hashes, etc. More info here: http://bullbearanalytics.com/bullbear-analytics/

Thank you for saving us from the darkness that is OT. It certainly is the milk of the dark one.

So all I have to do is pay you $300 and I'll get to buy a boat? How can I lose!?!?

no no no...
thats not how it work, you pay him $300, and he give you riddle about how the price will be going in the future, which you have to decipher. your failing to decipher is not his fault surely.

now back to btc price, ok we are visiting 255. now what ?

You ungrateful git. Every boat you buy is one that he is deliberately foregoing so he can share the good.  Grin

And all can be done by ignoring fundamentals. Seems legit....

It's all gone rather depressing hasn't it. From everybody being bullish at over 300 a short while back this block size debate & XT interference is close to pushing us under 250. Forgive me for feeling rather pessimistic at the moment. I'm still HODLING to the death but I'm not going to be buying any more coins whilst we're at this low feeling/period.

There is also another important subject. Would you invest money in mining nowadays? Personally, I am not. I have been waiting for S6 or S5+.

Am I concerned with the decreasing prices, NO.But I am not also comfortable with discussions, polarization in the BTC community.

The price trend is up.

If people were really worried we would see a much more dramatic drop. A slightly depressed sideways is not the end of the world. The block-size discussion isn't new, it's just had some drama added. But it's here and we have to deal with it. The fact that there are people working hard to make sure Bitcoin works in the future shouldn't be a cause for collapse. It might scare some casual day traders away, but Bitcoin should be able to survive that.

You know the amount of people who are hearing about Bitcoin for the first time and want to start buying bitcoins care about the block size upgrade debate?

Zero.

Remember all of the debates about BIP 75 implementation? Oh you weren't part of that debate yet you find the need to be involved in a debate about this upgrade? Why is this upgrade something you care about and not the multi-sig upgrade? FUD? Listening to the alt coiners trying to make it look like there's some "great divide" in Bitcoin?

The developers argue about code changes all the time. Let it go already.

Its not the scariest thing but 32.000.000$ (ATH) of longs on finex. If there will be a large dump to sub 245$ - it might trigger a cascade of margin calls leading btc to sub 200$ pretty damn fast.
