soon we will have x different versions of Bitcoin. Bitcoin Classic, Bitcoin Real, Bitcoin Original, you name it.

honestly, better expect double digits and keep your wallets synced!

I doubt this "alt-bitcoin" will have enough consensus to be adopted.

11 consecutive reds. btc roulette

I wonder to which chart you are referring?

Personally, I have been giving pretty considerable emphasis in recent times to Bitstamp's weekly charts starting the week of 8/16/15.

So, in essence, we are in week 22 from that starting point, and part of the way through, maybe towards the end of November, we should have been clear that bitcoin had fairly clearly transitioned into a bull market, and there have been 4 red candles, and 17 green candles.

The current weekly candle is floating, at the moment, in the red, but really the price could go either way, and we are still really early in the week.  We also seem to have a pretty decent cushion before anyone could convincingly assert that bitcoin remains in anything but a bull market.... accordingly, the odds seem to be greater that we are going up rather than down in the medium term (such as 1-2 months); however, the next couple of weeks could go either way, no?

The new versions of Bitcoin remind me of altcoins, and their proliferation might be as exponential. We only have a few now, but in a few months there could be thousands of different versions of Bitcoin. Each time I read this thread there's talk of a fresh new version of Bitcoin. Will they die quickly like most altcoins?

Scammers can't milk the altcoin cow no more. Must have a name with "bitcoin" in it to lure the noobs.

I see it's already dead like XT !!

Bitcoin Hodlers and Enthusiasts won't risk having even 1 version of a "Alt-Bitcoin" because we all know the risks this alt-bitcoin holds for us.

I see this as a FUD and wasting time, instead of uniting with the Bitcoin Core roadmap, some of us like to bullshit, maybe the bullshitness is the trend nowadays and I don't know :S

Edit: Notice BW and Antpool.

Might explain why antpool is down atm.

Core supporters are criminals.

Whoa, no wonder Pravda bitcoin.org slammed the lever into reverse today.  Smiley

Wheels are turning... I just had a slight tingle of bullishness crawl up my spine.

It says there that Marshall Long is an advisor of Factom. That's been pumped massively today and there was a post saying it's all based on bullshit that Microsoft are backing it. It reminds me of the Paycoin scam as it's making millions. Marshall could dump the Bitcoins he gets from it and hide out in China with Big Vern.

Fakhoury has doubts guise...  Shocked

Notice the names there, their percentages... Antpool, BW, BTCC... Methinks they're not pleased about being steamrolled by their side chain competition... offered complex rewrites of the network (leaving a possible majority of nodes in a SPV+ mode) with softforks giving them 0.6MB equiv gain, vs a simple two line upgrade of what we already know works.

If Bitcoin does hardfork away from Blockstream Core, you'll have plenty of warning and time before you need to upgrade your software.

If it really makes you fume with rage seeing Bitcoin grow to support 5.2tps vs 2.7... I'm sure someone will release a client with a reduced difficulty and maybe another proof of work, but don't be butthurt if the "alt-bitcoin" slur is turned back on you, friend.

The day Mircea executes his "attack" of dumping all his Bitcoin for Cripplecoins may be the buying op of a lifetime.

Only the charlatans are not brave/honest enough to come up with a proper name and instead leech on bitcoin's name notoriety.

Only the authoritarians are not brave/honest enough to live by the free market they claim they espouse to.  People calling themselves libertarians, but demanding protectionism in what's supposed to be an open and permissionless system, free from restrictions.  I'm pretty left wing myself, you'd probably even call me "statist", but apparently even I have more stomach for an open market than you do, coward.

Yes. They represent the Front National. They are fulltime statists/fascists/National collectivists. (hdbuck, iCE, brg444)

Is this genuinely true? I've seen iCEBREAKER wear the Front National logo as an avatar, but are all three of them?

"The National Front is a socially conservative, nationalist political party in France. Its major policies include economic protectionism, a zero tolerance approach to law and order issues, and opposition to immigration." Oh! Lovely. Embarrassed

ie rascist fascists

swell

a win for bitcoin

To be fair we hate fat people too.

Well, it's a fucking honor to be included.

Edit: I seem to be the last one to get the memo nowadays, but... is Theymos a Front National supporter as well?

Sry for massive repost, but I was wondering if any of you knew anything about this last question.

This place is starting too look more and more like the PC edition of Stormfront.
