My inner bull isn´t happy with this price action. It makes me think in an incoming dumpage.

I think we just jumped over $450 too quickly for psychological reasons. Our run up to this price was usually $10 at a time for the most part. So $440s is good.

With relatively shrinking trade volume in recent weeks, it does kind of make a person wonder what's going on in the background, and are we being set up for some kind of downward correction  or is this just "natural" market movement? 

When the volume shrinks for so long then the feeling begins to become price acceptance?  I'm just trying to figure out if there could be some kind of trickery happening in the background? Or am I inviting trolls?

The $430 price held strong for several weeks. There's no reason to believe that the price would go below that.

i had to reindex the blockchain.. it took more than 48 hours for my pc:

64G memory
intel 6-core i7-3960x extreme edition
Asus rampage motherboard
ssd boot drive
three disk striped <<<<<<<<<<<< blockchain lives here


ridiculous my pc takes that long to index blockchain .  yeah bitcoin is uba... i have recorded this bullshiat.

i have not even fired up armoury.. it has to go through its index bullshiat too.. i'm gonna record it.

It happened to me last week, my PC froze & I had to turn it off at the socket. Thought I'd lost all the bitcoin's I have stored in Core. Balance reset to 0, thought my life was over

After literally 2.5 days of reindexing balance was restored to correct amount. They really need to sort this shit in one of the next updates.

Both of you need to stop using a bitcoin node as a wallet. Use electrum, copay or a trezor for that. This is safe, light and easy, just the opposite of what a node is.

Bitcoin-qt is intended to be used as a desktop wallet otherwise there would be no gui or wallet functionality.

People are always here claiming "it's going to the moon" but the truth is nobody understand a thing about btc trading, too many people have too much influence on it. It's totally unpredictable.

I sold at 450 just because I can't stand the idea of btc going back to the 300; without a reason. And people saying "it's not possible" are just idiots, is there any reason why the price suddenly skyrocketed at 450? No, well it can crash without any more reason!

You know there is no difference between "no reason" and "not having a clue about the reason". From a personnal perspective it is the same result. Now if you have the reasons, please go on and spread your knowledge. I tried to open a topic about this question but the thread was invaded by people like you insulting me and going on a rempage "you're just saying shit about bitcoin". Lots of people who invested in btc are not even able to discuss about its legitimicy, cause you don't have the right to suggest that btc has flaws or that maybe the price isn't right and should be a bit lower, no you only praise for a rise. That's all what you have the right to do  

If there is a reason, then go on and give it, I would really like to read it and if you're convincing I'll even buy btc again. But the only thing i found was people like you, claiming FUD and insulting. Btc community in fact... Insults and scams, what a charming currency.

There are no bitcoins on your computer, only keys.  And you really should have backups of those keys.

There is a difference between no reason for something and not knowing a reason.  The burden is not on me to respond to your bullshit vagueness, but instead for you to make your assertions more meaningful and less vague.


When you open up a topic and make assertions, the burden is on you to substantiate and/or explain what you are saying not on others who point out your vague bullshit.

All it says is: "RBS is bearish on everything", which somehow is twisted into meaning they're "indirectly" advising investors to buy BTC. Does "indirectly" now mean "not at all" or did I miss something?

as far as i am concerned, it is a back end my wallet uses to communicate to blockchain .. i wouldn't keep bitcoins in bitcoin-qt.

Look, I've been with Bitcoin very nearly since its beginning, and almost all of my work is pro bono. My primary concern in all of my roles is Bitcoin's long-term survival and usefulness. So while I admit that I'm not the most diplomatic person around, I'm not just randomly being a jerk when I say this stuff. It's definitely possible for reasonable people to disagree with me and my actions, but I can tell that you're just deeply misinformed about how Bitcoin does work and should work. So please, have a long conversation with Wladimir or someone else who actually knows what they're talking about. Even your own coblee seems to be pretty well-informed, but you're clearly not listening to him, since there's no way he'd say something like "Coinbase will always support the longest chain in bitcoin" and expect to get a good response from experts.
