As far as i know roach is actually still in BTC. Ugh

(I can remember him saying so some weeks ago)

Well, he said he sold all his BTC and went all in on LTC and silver. That's what he said, but who knows what this guy is really doing (other than spamming this thread with PM/Nazi troll crap).

Has anyone here tried sending a paper/brain wallet (with no BTC but with BCC/BCH) directly to an exchange such as Kraken/Bittrex and it credits you the BCC/BCH you were entitled to or do I have to import into a BCC/BCH wallet first, then transfer to exchange?

Splitting is now your problem, not theirs. They only split they'll do is the private keys they controlled at the moment of the fork.

I see so I need to split myself by importing the private key into a Bitflop wallet. Are there any safe desktop versions that you know of which do not require a download of the full node? Or even a web wallet version?

I have heard Coinomi for the android is safe, any ideas?

Thanks in advance

SegWit Lock-in threshold expected at ≈Tue, 08 Aug 2017 19:14:34 GMT.
I am almost 100% confident that this will take us to a new ATH today.

In case someone doesn't know where to check that information: https://www.xbt.eu/.
Wait a minute. Are you serious SegWit was locks today? Because what Theymos said is the SegWit will be lock on Aug 10 and it will be finally activated acouple of weeks i.e SegWit will be activated around 24th Aug, 2017.

What site do you think I use to keep track of current status?
How should I know, people are weird.

I think you are using a different meaning for CERTAINTY.
Probable certainty then.

Lock-in will be certain when all the needed blocks for lock-in has been mined. That will happen when 41 additional BIP141 blocks have been mined.
No. Activation will be certain once the last lock-in block has been mined.

Yes.

It doesn't matter what theymos said, don't do appeals to authority. Nobody can give you an exact time, and August the 10th was an estimate. Due to rising hashrate, the period end (therefore also the time at which it locks in) has come closer. The same happened with the halving last year, which came earlier as blocks were mined on average faster than 10 minutes due to spikes in hashrate.

Ok, thank for the information and I can now understand. I presume the SegWit will be activated wholly after 2weeks which will be 22 Aug, 2017. Is that correct?

Those who did not dump bch yet would better wait for a decent pump to dump when it makes the most damage to the enemy and the most cash for you.
I dumped all at once because I hated too much that crap. If it kills BTC I will turn full litecoiner.

Yeah, that's pretty much exactly what I'm waiting for. I'm 100% convinced that the FUDsters will attempt one more massive attack on Bitcoin, massively shorting/dumping BTC while simultaneously pumping BCH to the moon. They'll combine that with temporarily switching mining rigs over to BCH from BTC.

I'm guessing this shitstorm will happen in late Sept. or Nov. in retaliation for the SegWit2X snub that we all know is likely not going to happen.

Still 15 blocks needed for a lock-in.
100% SegWit blocks mined in this lock-in period.
Just 13% SegWit blocks needed for a lock-in!

Well, so much for hoping to wake up to $3,500 USD/BTC.

Going to be just another boring Tuesday by the looks of it.

Well resistance at about $3500 was widely expected. I sold a couple of coins about there and waiting for some significant retracement to buy back.

Pitty that 3500 USD is not just 3000 €, I was waiting for that to sell a bit... . ( stranded at 2983)  Cool

I trade in euro too, but I used xe.com to convert in euro the TA by DLavrov and his targets.

I think we are seeing that happening right now. BCH being at 10% of BTC value is ridiculous. Money is about trust, and can you trust the people behind BCH to act responsibly and not out of their own interest? Answering that question sheds ligth on the true value of that thing. Also, BTC is not as high as you would expect with all the absolutely great news there is about it.

Don't underestimate the amount of money that is necessary to keep BCH at this level and keep BTC from skyrocketing.

If I would still have BCH I would sell it ASAP.
