**except fire ants (op pls nerf)

If it really does roaches I'm satisfied.

Foggers are good for mosquitoes and flying pests but not so much for cockroaches.  The insecticide doesn't get into the cracks and crevices... places the roaches hide.
Get a decent pump sprayer and some Deltamethrin.  It's best to spray again after 2 weeks so you get all the eggs that might hatch.  Used this on an apartment we stayed in a couple of years ago and it worked great.

I am pretty sure you can game the tax systems by “earning” all your income while offshore or in a tax free jurisdiction  and not staying in any particular Western country for more than 179 days [does not work for US citizens]

So fly to Dubai to cash out your BTC and then go skiing for a couple of months, rinse repeat.
The problem that I have is specifically with owning property in that kind of situation. I don't want to go from hotel to hotel or Airbnb to Airbnb for the travel part. But if I could just own two houses and have each of them set up as a fully functional base then I would be perfectly happy to just fly over from one to the other every 6 months. Just haven't found anything specific regarding this edge case yet.

Puerto Rico is an attractive option. As long as you spend at least 183 days per year there, you can claim residency and pay almost no taxes. Puerto Rico is the only option as a tax haven for people who don't want to give up their US citizenship.

I once saw someone spray 2 cans of RAID on a giant roach, which did nothing.

I also got rid of a roach infestation using Harris famous roach tablets.

I say we melt down some silver and pour over it. That should do the trick.

EDIT: So for much for that scam called the "Internet of Things" being secure:

Tahiti seems nice. I'd have to confirm with Elwar. Are there dancing girls? Dancing girls is the only reason to go anywhere.

Dancing girls all the time. It is the main hobby of most females here.

You can’t tax robots because the jobs aren’t going to “robots”, the jobs are going to software.

The answer is to skill up in skills needed by the automation software industry.  If you cant beat them, join them.

That might buy a generation. The problem situation, however, is looming large, near, and seemingly inevitable.
