https://futurism.com/luxembourg-establishes-e220-million-fund-for-space-mining/

Deep Space Industries and Planetary Resources are two of the named companies that will receive capital for exploration of space mining. The fund will be used to finance asteroid survey missions that will be launched within three years. Luxembourg will also invest in research and development for technologies needed to identify, extract, and process minerals, water, and other valuable space-based commodities.

Space: the final frontier. These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise. Its continuing mission: to explore strange new worlds and mine the shit out of them.

Anybody still holding Byteball? That's one of the few BTC airdrops I never dumped. It seems like it's been tanking the last 8 months though.
Yes bro! My favorite after Bitcoin. There have been hard times with the distribution model but, hey, so far so good. One of the best projects around.

Back to bitcoin, i bought some more. 19th of every month is my bitcoin buying day

It seems like you made some cash if you sold them by the 20 something of every month, there have been a few peaks at the 20s past few months, right?
Maybe you misunderstood me: I don't sell, I am buying only and increasing my war chest. There's no point selling so cheap. I have much higher targets  Wink
I see, thank you for clarifying that.
Just out of curiosity, have you never felt inclined to trade a bit? I mean, not selling your coins all at once but trying to profit some % every now and then while still holding/increasing your wallet? Wouldn't it help you grow your wallet a little more than just by simply holding?
Of course I did, and sometimes still do. But, you see, I prefer accumulation over short term fiat profits.

Don't be tempted to be like pacman7331. Stick to HODLing.

I know none of you give 2 fucks about it. But i'm fucking done with trading. This market is totally irrational just like in 2015 and i'm done wasting money trading it. ...I've lost too much to these fucking greed driven animals of the bitcoin world.... Going back to HODLing.

If I meet a bitcoin trader on the street. I'll rip his scrawny little yappin jaw off.

ETH has me super pissed. It should be worthless but instead it's up like 80% from its low.

Ripple, BCash and EOS up 15-20% in the last 24h and you get annoyed by ETH?

Interesting...
I'm not following ALL the shitcoins, but now XRP has me even more upset. Thanks.

Days of "only bitcoin" are coming soon, just wait and see. Bitcoin is about to start its super bull-run, and once it does, alts are gonna suffer. You might then pick up some of your favorite alts and enter them, but entering alts right now isn't the best thing to do IMO.

Bitcoin is about to take-off, there's a huge probability of it right now, it has broken the downtrend, once it does, proud owners of alts are gonna cry, again.

...

Just wanted to retweet (oh, I mean re-quote) what I said yesterday.

...

...

It's beginning. Suffering of alts and run of bitcoin. I expect this to continue for at least a few days if not a few weeks.

Jerking off with bitcoin, it’s so beautiful.

Grin

It has no connection with Bitcoin. It's Verge only, aka the shitcoin that recently hard forked because it suffered a 50% attack.

Luxembourg will also invest in research and development for technologies needed to identify, extract, and process minerals, water, and other valuable space-based commodities.

Stop quoting fake news.  They aren't mining jack shit in space for a loooong time if ever because the cost of production would be enormous.  Your quote doesn't even pass an elementary common sense test when they talk about "mining water" in space.  We are not hard up enough for water where we need to spend $100,000 per gallon to mine it in space.

Even if some company like this is actually created, it's just like one of those shale oil companies they have people can invest in but will never ever turn a profit.  Even if gold was revalued to $20,000 and silver to $1000 tomorrow, it would probably still not be doable or profitable.  They would also mine somewhere like the ocean floor or Antarctica long before doing something like this.

Does anyone remember when the bear market first started and the market was making it's first run below $9000?  I was looking at old posts and noticed someone else saw the fraud going on at Bitfinex at the time.  This is exactly how I saw things playing out too so it's right out in the open for all to see.

Proof this entire market is still nothing but a Bitfinex scam cooking the books with money that doesn't exist:

Did any of you guys see that ? A HUGE refresher on bitfinex stalled the market. Where all other markets sold down to below $8500 there was this 1 guy on bitfinex who kept buying and buying EVERYTHING around the $9000 level. This 100% wasn't normal market behaviour why would anyone buy thousands of bitcoins and pay $500 too much on every bitcoin, basically throwing away millions and millions of dollars ? I think this only could have been Bitfinex themselves, buying the market up with fake tether money.

I just downloaded the bitfinex T&S, he bought at least 6000 BTC's and gave away probaby $500 on half of them, so that's 1.5 million USD he just gave away. Makes no sense at all unless it's somebody with fake tether money.

But I do know it was a single user since he used the same refresher/hidden order on a few key levels. I'm just saying, if this was somebody interested in buying BTC at good prices why would he keep holding the $9000 and buy 6000 btc's there while the other markets were trading below $8500?

And yes, the market has been controlled by this single entity's fraud on Bitfinex ever since $200 as I've documented numerous times before.

Wouldn't even simply mining deeper be far more economical than space ventures as well? Not sure why people always go for the asteroid mining to argue that we can have a plentiful supply of PMs. Compared to an asteroid, the Earth is magnitudes of orders bigger. We've barely pecked the surface when it comes to mining.

Who knows where these bullshit stories originate from.  Way back before the last metals bull run, all of a sudden they had coordinated news stories everywhere calling metals "a barbarous relic", then they shortly went to the moon right after.  These asteroid mining fake news stories might be the new "barbarous relic" disinfo tactic for this commodity super cycle.

CNBC suggests Luxembourg is extending its tax haven status to potential space mining companies. It's creating favorable laws for them and making it easy to set them up there.

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/04/16/luxembourg-vies-to-become-the-silicon-valley-of-asteroid-mining.html

Quote
UC Berkeley assistant professor of economics Gabriel Zucman... said Luxembourg's strategy of creating laws and making room for asteroid mining companies "is what being an offshore financial center means. It's not diversification. It's just extending the logic of being a tax haven to a new area."

In other words, Luxembourg isn't necessarily jumping into modern technology with its support of space mining — it's just pushing into a new industry to extend the laws of a terrestrial tax haven, safeguarded by a sovereign nation, to the land of E.T.

Good morning Bitcoinland.

I see we continued yesterday's rally all the way past $9k before having a nice little profit-taking/correction. Now we're on the rise again... currently $8835USD/$11284CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Has the usual spring rally really started this time?

So at this point, it seems like a retest below the $6500 level would be extremely difficult to pull off. You can see that this is price point where the whales first came in hot and heavy pumping the market back in Nov.

I believe we go sideways from here for a while.

My post about the forthcoming space "gold" rush is not indicative of a bias against precious metals. I think they will always have some value..especially unique coins or artwork. However..I think within a couple of decades it will be as valuable as dirt is planet side. Dirt itself will be more valuable to space based operations than pm's in the future due to the relatively high cost of moving mass up and down the gravity well. Just a random thought.

Thank you to the gif wizard..you know who you are.

Bitcoin

Consolidation feels good. We are close to the local bottom imho. I was guesstimating $8.6k as a focal point but support is building in the $8.75k range however. I expect more weekend pump action as the evening progresses.

Mid to long term I am waiting to see if we acquire this fork. Support and resistance bands are clearly delineated for your viewing pleasure. #dyor
