Thanks for acknowledging.. You are such a sweetie sometimes Arrie fairy...

I hate to bum-rush the answer (me, me, me), but just to clarify that the last candle has not yet closed, so the since the chart is structured on a calendar year basis (which is somewhat arbitrary, #justsaying) the last candle is ONLY a little more than 8 months old, so far.
Yearly candles.

Source
If I'm not mistaken, the last candle is not a yearly candle...
You didn't make a mistake. You are right. The year is not ended yet. Still, three and half months to go. So, there is no point in entering the closing price for 2022. Open, Low (should be "Lowest so far"), High (Should be "Highest so far") and kind of acceptable.

I don't think so that the last candle is not correct.

You didn't see the date mentioned above. Means it started the year from 12sep and end it on 12sep every year. And take start from 2011 not from 2010.

So I think the last candle is correct.

Are you willfully blind ThemePen (or just blind by accident)

You can look at the opening and closing BTC prices that are listed for each of the years, and you can and see that each of the candles between 2011 and 2021 are based the calendar year, and the last candle starts from January 2022 (not from September 2021).

Edit:
I see that in subsequent posts you "kind of" acknowledged the point that the candles are 12 months except the last candle is not 12 months, but you still have some kind of difficulties admitting that your first couple of descriptions were filled with wrong assumptions.. It should be easy enough to verify that the last candle is 8.5 months and the other candles were 12 months, but you wanted to continue to assert that you were right because the chart said.. blah blah blah.. and you misread the chart but still it's the chart's fault, no?

Really, I am not trying to pick on you, but you are providing ammunition.. and I am weak, weak, weak.. I cannot help my lil selfie.  You suck.   Tongue Tongue

[edited out]
Some time ago, I was severely chastised by @JJG for daring to cherry-pick the timing for bitcoin's open/close values; a lesson I have not forgotten.  Be prepared to answer some hard questions and perhaps receive a bat-slappening.  You might get some lenience if you're Ethiopian or Eritrean since Enkutatash (their New Year) is Sept 11th but I wouldn't count on it.
 Good luck!

Now I am starting to feel baaaaaaad...  Cry Cry Cry Cry

and predictable too..

I suck.

Why not both?

Yes I know I was wrong therefore I skipped. And didn't make any argue again.

I understood that, this is only a chart, and chart could be wrong.

The last candle is 9.5 moths old only.

...

The army of Zelensky and all other NATO troops currently in Ukraine can never win against Russia. For 7 bloody years after the coup in 2014 the military junta in Kiev was warned by Russia to stop the genocide to its own population in the East and South of the country. The fate of Ukraine is now sealed. This country will disintegrate and will be absorbed by its neighbors.

May be yesterday's 10% flash crash was due to the stonks as it has been the case often in the last years. May be some whale(s) have exploited it to his gains. What I see is that the shorters got a sweet revenge for the liquidations in the past week. Only on Binance, over 1bil short were closed in profit, while over 0.5bil longs were liquidated yesterday. Since this happens on a regular basis I assume that the shorters have much deeper pockets than the longers. And the correlation with the stonks hints of participation of the most fraudulent shorting Wall Street "institutions". This is a cancer much worse than Bitmex was in the previous bear market. The true solution is only one. Keep stacking sats regularly disregarding the price. These 20% oscilations will be insignificant when the price shoots above 100K one day. The longer bears manipulate the market, the better for the DCA-ers! This is how we outplay them.

All this Ethereum merge shite sounds complicated and a load of bollocks. Just like a typical shitcoin would do. Just head into the direction where the wind is blowing.
No consistency, no reliable fundamentals.

Just pure shit.

The shitiest of shit.

Ultra Shit.

Shit in pure overdrive.
