Hey if anybody wants to hire a newbie to troll bitcoin forums, I am for hire.  Grad school doesn't pay shit and I got nothing better to do but write reports...

Grad school? I think you're already overqualified for the position of bear troll.

Kindergarten is probably about average for the job.

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

With the bankruptcy of the Bitcoin Foundation i can definitely picture Gavin Andresen and Gregory Maxwell producing some of the best pump and dump pyramid/ponzi schemes around the altcoin sphere.

Don't underestimate the power of hunger and the temptation of getting rich over night. Coding for second hand patatas fritas and rancid beer while looking like you had your last shower on New Year's Eve can only take you so far...

Jorge! you actually believe btc will have a price in 1 year!!! That's a nice surprise! Smiley

There are still plenty of COBOL programs in vital use out there.  Grin

A bit more seriously, from all saw over the last 15 months, the only prediction that seems to work is based on the log-brownian model, and it says that the expected price at any time in the future is today's price.

The most likely future price in the may be somewhat lower than todays price in linear scale; but, in log scale (which will perhaps be used next year to pick the winner), today''s price is also the most likely future price.

So that was my first choice.  Unfortunately, someone else beat me to it, so I went for a second choice: extrapolating the trend of the last 15 months to April 1st 2016.

And, if bitcoin actually dies before that date, this forum will probably be closed; so it would be pointless to enter "$0"  Grin

If Bitcoin actually dies before that date something else will take its place and this forum will become all about the new coin. However, I don;t believe Bitcoin will be dead in a year.

I disagree. I dont think  bitcoins death would have any effect on this forum. Granted, trolling would be infinitely less fulfilling, but the bulls would continue undamped.

$0.01!! CCMF!!

ps I really dont want bitcoin to die, i want it to thrive  Cool

pps The forum would have a higher market cap than the coin!!

There'd be so much vitriol, trolling and despair at that price level that I truly believe this forum's servers would become white hot, melt a hole through the earth and fall away into space.

Oh, today I'll be the first who mentions: Wall Street is coming soon! They are dying to jump on the Bitcoin train.

(Since one year I always wished to be the first in a day, who is posting it. But one has to be really quick...)
