LFC: just decide what % of your net worth you are comfortable investing and don't put more in that that. Then you don't sweat these engineered moves.

If btc drops below 200 then my bids buy me another 80 coins..I will probably sit tight at that point as I will have easily reached my target. If bitcoin remains in the 160 to 300 range for five years it wont effect me. If it goes to zero then I will be miffed but that is life. If it returns back towards the ATH over the coming months or years then it will have (taken from my initial investment) been an incredible success.

I'm lucky in the sense that even though I've invested quite a lot now, apart from me being really angry if it went to 0 I wouldn't be going under or losing anything, my finances would still be healthy but I'd still be really pissed off, embarrassed too.
I'm perfectly happy to sit here & moan for over 10 years aslong as there's the hope that one day we could become very happy men.
I'm staying here with you bro, never been one to give up.

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here goes.

My mom called me up crying, she somehow found out that I was using bitcoin and she just read that a guy got life in prison for it. She said she can't sleep because she worries it will happen to me too. I tried to explain to her that I just liked buying alpaca socks online, and that I was super careful and used the TOR bundle to browse the Dark Web, but that just made her cry even more. She said she didn't believe me, just kept pleading and crying, wouldn't get off the phone telling me she knew they'll catch me soon if i didn't stop using.

Does this ever happen to you guys?

This just happened to a large nordic bank (Nordea) that I invited to Oslo Bitcoin Meetup! They said they could not come and talk about their view on bitcoin, because they wanted to be neutral.
But I, like your mom, caught them red handed buying dirty, filthy bitcoins on Nasdaq Stockholm! The bank was even more shameful than you, little troll  Grin

Either be with the manipulator or ...

I would but it just doesn't occur to me... i've never been a follower. Hence bitcoin. I shouldn't even bother trading frankly...

I just got into it for the debit card to buy shit on the internet... Now i've lost 250$ I should probably forget it and quit.

Only trade with trading stash... 10-20% of your coins. And don't trade if you're not sure which way it will go. Also in times like this, when market is in total control of manipulator, better take your coins out of exchanges.

Thank me later.

Interesting... I was about to go to cold storage with my coins...

I don't actually "trade" I buy and sell on the exchange market. I have no idea how to do a call or put option, but... that would be nice to make money on a downward market. I don't want leverage, and I don't have a clue what bitfinex's margin options are about.

I thought i'd try day trading, but at this point I just don't have time to day trade. And i'm just too lazy. I do more of a bi monthly trade.

Actually that is a good attitude. Put your coins in cold storage and forget about it. At least for some months. Nobody knows, where this might lead. But your entrypoint is a hell lot better than anyones last year!

BTW: Starting to trade makes you loose some money for sure (at least at the beginning).

Usually, I just ignore these obvious trolls. I was tempted, and fed the troll. But now, Shipraraty is on ignore.
However, I am curious about who pay some of these trolls. If the forum administrators published the IP's of the most obvious trolls, maybe we could find their employers? I don't know...

Have you ever followed the linux community?

Now imagine if one of the nasties from linux becomes a trader.

What do you have?

its over guys we gave it our best shot but sadly this is the end,  trolls were right all along, sub 200 is coming and then double digits. I am very sadden that bitcoin is dead, and it's a shame I bought so much on the way down thinking it would eventually "bounce back" and make new highs, clearly this is never going to happen. time and money has been expired to no end. this is gentlemen.

Ha ha ha! No, I never "followed" the linux community, just grew up with BASIC, UNIX and SIMULA.
But I think there are troll factories in the western world as it was proven in Russia. I think the western troll factories are private advertising agencies, not state agencies.
What do you think, sir? Are some of trolls paid?

Hey Fatman, funny you should use that gif. Aren't you the guy who prefers black-plate fake Mullard 12ax7s to gray-plate fake Sovetec rebrand "5751" or some crap like that?

Leave Audio Asylum alone, you pervert!

Aren't there some emo kids you can bother? I guess they just agree with you when you tell them how shit their life is.

Is the price crashing because were on a fork? Somebody said we were being forked by some guy named Gavlin? Is that true?

AFAIK the real fork is about to happen in 2 days? Can someone confirm? Does anyone atually think that the price will crash even more before the fork?
