WTF, nothing happens for weeks, then we get news of the feds prosecuting Crptsy, Gemini opening, and the final US marshals auction all on the same day! Were the feds waiting for Gemini to announce a launch date before they announced their auction date? Will those three events start a roller coaster ride, or will we get more months of flat prices?

You just bought the top and got fucked. Bitcoin is too small.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but why do some bears consider that last SR auction, good news for them?Aren't those auction participants buying at market price or slightly above it? Why would they dump those coins on exchanges instead of waiting for a significant increase in price?

I've seen some of them suggest this as well. But the bigger worry is probably that the auction will remove 44k bitcoin x [number of bidders] of buying pressure from the regular markets.

The mere announcement of an auction often produced a dump even if the price pumped after the auction. We never found out what any winner paid, and I think it depended on sentiment at the time of particular auctions. I guess the first auction winner paid $500 - $600 market price to win all the coins. Although there was a good pump after the first auction the winner says he's still holding them. However, I guess the second auction winners paid less than the market price judging by the post auction dump. The sentiment was bearish at the time of the second auction.

If I were a troll whale, I'd pump the shit out of BTC on the 4th of November so that nobody gets to have cheap coins the next day at the auction.
