... tofu-eating-hippies...
Hippies eat tofu? I thought most of us hippies preferred well-marbled steaks. Toadfood... yuck. I'm thinking of the "Whale Wars" type. They've got scurvy before they enlist.

When margin was started they said they would allocate 500k$ to margin funding. Unless that has been increased a lot, it's really no big deal.

OMG, what's going on with your shitcoin?! Any news? This 20% price decreasing/day is brutal.
Lol, I hadn't noticed he headed the thing! Cheating tofu-eating-hippies out of their money. Pure evil. I was not the creator of the crypto, I help the community organize bounties and community efforts to give use to the crypto. Before I began the help of organizing the community, it was rather dull. Again, no one is forcing you to hodl, or buy. Kindly park the FUD at the door. Otherwise, feel free to stake, and use Sprouts to buy Sampey's trading bot, or feel free to use them at the DICE site. In fact, feel free to grab some from the multiple faucets that pay out daily. When PayServices has the official launch, you will be able to convert Sprouts into 50+ cryptos, 100+ National Fiats, and 20+ community currencies. Back on topic, I can smell the bear sweat dripping from the Wall Observer thread.

~ 3 million coins margin long. That's ~20% of all coins in existence! Anybody rich could crash this market. I'm paying 0.5% interest every 100 days, there are so many coins available for shorting. All I have to do is wait.
So what's going to happen first, the Fed raising rates and crushing all dollar denominated assets or full blocks causing a fee spike and a network slowdown?
Go to Cryptofacilities.com, contracts trade at a ~60%/year premium, so you earn interest for shorting. Also, where do you see 20% of coins long? Total swaps are 25M$, that's less than .5%.

Yeah, I screwed up. it;s about 57,000 coins. Thanks for catching that. This is what is called a low volume melt up. $2 million in margin longs opened in the last 24 hours so more than the entire 1.6% rise has been caused by leveraged trading. according to the order book, it will take ~ $5 million more to get to $500. it's take between $2-3 million on stamp just to get up to last Friday's high. We're at almost 3X the $162 low in August. It's hard to imagine a sustainable rise without one or more serious tests of support.

I think bears are preparing a push down. To many longs... I think a lot of those longs are fake to entice, along with the ask walls, traders to take short positions. Psychological games have been playing out for some time now.

fed meeting is weds.. raise rates or not to raise rates.. bitcoin is up while gold and silver is down.. buy silver now while it is under 14.00 or buy bitcoins over 440.00 ?? i do not believe they will really raise rates. either way weds is the day we will find out and see what happens. i have this feeling that metals is going to get harder to obtain. i was in a shop today that had 2015 silver eagles priced at $19.00 if buy 100 or more coins.. that is still a good price at $5.00 over spot if you consider silver was $30.00+ a few months ago.. although the same shop had engelhard 100oz bars for $15.50 an oz if you bought more than one. which btw.. they stopped making 100oz engelhard bars in 2006. .. coinbase has bitcoins at $446.00 each. which is best deal ??........

Coinbase HUGE volume?? very abnormal for "Coinbase", daily avg 5k a 7k???! Coinbase is regulated and I think their reported volume is more likely to be accurate. Volume like that may indicate a sea change.

We won't know for some time which is the better deal. They're both likely a safer bet than USD - at least for the long term.

Recently Coinbase has been engaging in various promotionals to lower fees and increase their volume, so it should be no secret NOR conspiracy that their volume would likely increase, in part, because of their promotional efforts.
Kids say the darnedest things. ^ https://cryptowat.ch/coinbase/btcusd/4hWhy don't you engage a bit about the point that you are attempting to make rather than merely employing a patronizing tone? 'Engage a bit'? You mean that huge red spike that pops out of nowhere to tower over everything else ain't enough? Must've been pretty awesome 'promotional efforts,' like 'Trade one 1 BTC, get 10 BTC free!' Well, I am glad that you are capable of words, beyond mere apparent attempts at denigration. I, for one, do not claim to know everything in the bitcoin space, and I am merely attempting to contribute to the conversation in this thread. Sometimes, I become a bit jaded myself when I view multiple postings that do not appear to be considering plausible and reasonable explanations for strange events, but instead appear to take advantage of situations to devolve the conversation into outrageous proclamations and as exaggerations and attempts to find conspiracies everywhere. Surely I believe that there are a multitude of varying degrees of insiders attempting various manipulations and attempts to make easy money, but not every strange occurrence is clearly explained as a pure manipulation and without plausible fair dealings, at least part of the explanation. Yes, the spike seems quite an anomaly.
