Total Reduced Supply since halvening = 25,000 btc

That's slightly more than the much ballyhooed 24,000 the australian authorities 'auction' of confiscated coins that was "dumped" on the market ...

888 by September
1000 by October.

600*24000 =  14.4 million €

I still think we need months of holding for big price increase

The current poll, as usual, tells us how f'g clueless those here are. By far the highest number of voters say btc will be over $1k in a week, and the lowest number of voters at $650 will turn out to be right. Yes, this is an utterly worthless source of info as usual. Entertaining though!

It's not utterly worthless, it's an almost perfect reverse indicator of what the price will be in the future. If you bet on whatever price gets the lowest number of votes it's almost a guarantee you will win. The lowest number of votes probably gets it wrong less than 10% of the time.

When the poll started the price was in mid $600s, the handfull of schlubs who guessed right just guessed the current price. The rest have no more clue than I what btc is going to do next, unfortunately.

It's a troll poll.

The highest value always wins and the lowest is usually second.  Must be some newbies voting in this one who thought the "reasonable" optimism of 800 was correct.

Then after the deadline people keep voting because the like being "correct" and the poll then gets closer to reality.

I don't vote because I'm clueless.  As long as the price is below the 32K Adam promised I just keep buying whenever I can.

Lack of $666 option in the pool.

We all know that the price will be around $666 for the next 6 months, 6 days and 6 hours

Don't we have any traders in here that post useful info anymore...? Sad...

Looks like my <650 target a few weeks ago was dead nuts...

And Jay says I have no clue...thanks for the btc Jay and cronies  Grin

Cheers

what exit and reentry did you get? I sold at 680 a couple days ago and bough back at 656...was so annoyed when it went lower, I almost set my buy order for 646 but went higher because I didnt want to miss the bottom, just in case :/

What percentage of your BTC holdings are you trading on these kinds of swings?  100% of it, or some lower amount?

100%...I only trade when I'm very very certain.

sounds very dangerous, so you probably have various techniques to deal with when you are not correct, unless you are asserting that you are always correct?

by no means always correct, but i rarely trade, only on gut feeling based on weekly price swings. sell when she rises, buy back when she falls

Well, that's fair enough, and maybe even practical; however, you still did not answer my main question, and that is how do you deal with situations in which you are not correct, especially if you are trading 100% of your BTC holdings on these kinds of price swings (Note: you admitted that you are not always correct).

I have a bid at 580, just in case, but consider it dead money, hopeless. We are going up, not down, over the next few days, weeks.

Ok.

So... we get the 666$ number for the end week to remain in the charts for the history books... then we go to the moons of Jupiter!

They need to have their 666$ in the damn history books as the last day when BTCeastcoin was under 1000$ ... Them religious nonsense freaks!

I'm betting down to somewhere around 420$ USD in the short term.  I think she'll be vigorously defended there and then rise to ATH in a long and steep bull run.

going back under $300 due to failure to fork to fix scaling issue in a reasonable time. after successful ether fork everyone is on to the the incompetence of bitcoin to handle the scaling issue as fees continue to soar. .

There's no way I could bet with 100% without panicking and screwing up. Also, just to have 100% on an exchange would have me pulling my hair out in anxiety.

My parents would go crazy knowing I have the same amount as a year of their pension. And playing with them on the exchanges like is some "Pokemon Go" nonsense...
For example for me they are just numbers, when I need to dump or panic buy I cut like a cold knife in melting flesh! .. Its just a game! They are just numbers!

You just need to plan your sleeping time and have weird loud alarms if you risk and go to sleep holding the wrong bag!

*Edit: And I need to pay more attention to the currency wars... When the F'... did China devalued their Yuan again... 1$ = 6.69 Yuan ... strange number 6.69! (666).

You might buy for even cheaper soon but would need to pay higher fee to transfer to your wallet due to SWIFTstreamlimits. When will be estimated time for parity (BTC price = trx fee) ?

Or what volatility is bigger?
