Get ready for... sideways forever.

Did I call this or what?

You called it. Side note, Estimated Next Difficulty:    197,309,358,560 (-7.58%). The greatest hash rate/difficulty drop in recorded history (or Bitcoinwisdom recorded history, at least Smiley)

The diff was

196,061,423,940 between June 8 and June 20
It went up to
213,398,925,331 by July 4 ("last push" of the obsolete hardware to make what they could, pre-halving)

...and if it goes to 197 it will be still higher than what we had 5-7 weeks ago, when the daily supply was double... what a "disaster" huh? Cheesy

I hope you didn't misconstrue my shared statistics as a cause for concern. -7.58% (pardon, -7.67% now, went up a bit since I posted last) hashrate drops happen all the time...

...well, maybe not all the time, maybe like once a year, at least...

...did I say once a year? I meant once every couple of years...

OK, I lied. So sue me.

Nothing like this happened since 2011, when BTC wasn't worth anything, and consequentially, the price *TANKED* following year. You got me!

Sorry... where was I? O yeah, nothing at all to worry about Smiley

Ha, you should tell me how to insert VBA code into a comma separated file.
I hear Bitcoiners are good with computers. (good one tho. If file has a .CSV extension, it must be a harmless comma-separated file. Nothing to worry about at all, I'll just go ahead and load it right up Smiley)

Nobody appreciating Blockstream corporation's new acquisition?

http://www.coindesk.com/blockstream-wallet-greenaddress-sidechains/
Blockstream is a giant decentralized stream of blocks and private individuals. You should stop thinking of it as a corporation.

Looks like 656 is the new 666.

Do you have 2 accounts to talk to yourself???  Cheesy

I'm a dull, unexceptional man, of slight means and modest expectations.
But in my dreams, I'm wild and free ... as a bird! to roam with my Roma clan in my quaint colorful Gypsy caravan, bewitching the burghers with my drunken Gypsy dance, befuddling them with my dark Gypsy witchcraft, and ... whoa!! where's your wallet?! Where is it? Presto magico, bitch burgher! Abracadabra. Your wallet is gone!

You think we'll break 660 today? We're kind of due for an uptic.

Quoted for greatness

I echo your inquiry, fine sir or sir-ette!

Indeed, discussion of the consequences of the HF of the-coin-that-shall-not-be-named is directly applicable to any possible HF of Bitcoin. And discussion of a HF of Bitcoin is directly applicable to Bitcoin price movement.

Though it may not be Adam with the heavy hand?

Bitcoin, subjected to a HF, is No True Bitcoin. It is an altcoin. Therefore, discussion of hardf*cking Bitcoin is nothing but filth and perversion, verboten; >>>/altcoin/.

P.S. It's not Adam.

omg

lambie is a mod

makes sense

So lambie is a coin-that-shall-not-be-named lover??

There are probably a solid 5 people on here that aren't lambie. I'm still not sure if I'm one of them.

http://www.coindesk.com/blockstream-wallet-greenaddress-sidechains/

This is exciting.

All the puzzle pieces are coming together... Elements Sidechains are orthogonal, yet highly complementary to Bitcoin's value proposition... I hear.

Green Address has been a staunch supporter of Gregory's "avoiding scaling" roadmap from the beginning, nice to see them get their deserved cut of the VC booty.

Got their hands on the elusive Blockstream shares too...

My charts tell me the price will bottom at 1984 Yuan, so that's $297.42.

Whether it bounces from there is up to TPTB I guess.

Too bad Adam lost his whale status.

Things were a lot more fun back then.

Those are dumb-ass charts if they are telling you sub $300.... sounds like real pie in the sky.

We gotta get through several support points to being even close to striking distance of even sub $500, and you are suggesting sub $300... ---yeah right.   Roll Eyes Roll Eyes  Can we snap back to the real world, just for a moment?

Jay... Don't bother with him...

300$ or even 500$ would not happen even if nukes would fly from every hemisphere and have 50 years of radiation fallout...

It is just a technical impossibility ...

We will see 670$ - 695$ very soon ... And then we will just go uphill ... I don't even bother to trade till we get to 900+ ... and we will probably do a ping-pong sideways for like half a year between 1200$ <-> 2500$.

Please tell me what kind of bot you are.

Is there a passphrase to get you to break or reveal yourself?

This is Doctor Noonian Soong. Report Status!

you are  the one that comes up with the ridiculous and non-explanatory BTC price projections, not me, and thereafter an additional ridiculous bot assertion.

What now Bitcoin fanatics? There where lots of posts last month that the BTC price will skyrocket to $1000 or even $2000. tsk tsk tsk.. I feel bad for those who took out a loan just to buy bitcoin prior to the halving thinking that the price will skyrocket afterwards.
