i said ruff lee 3 months maybe the end of the year 2 be optimistic/ a month has now burned away / 750 was the pre halving hype and a lot of buying coming out of china supposedly that got us up into that very short lived bubble ,. / still no halving kicking in to feel a boost why ? might the halving still take a moment / there will still need 2 be some kind of frenzy / some kind of news / some more hands entering and buying / some kind of a pump to give us a boost / 2 bad that exchange biting the dust caused some stress on the price / i want to see this all turn around / i do wonder if lacking the dead exchange plays any real swing on the price being able to recover quickly / lets see the next rally pump frenzy / 2 get this 2 move jest 225 upward to 800 is not that great of a mountain 2 climb / its a bit of a limbo until the next move / it might sink a little before the sails catch the wind / come on halving lets see some results, . lets see something within the next few months to get us over the hump , certainly by 2017 i would hope ,.

It's Monday almost anywhere  Smiley

It does not look like a pump (yet) it's more like a very shy, tiny price rise. But don't misunderstand me: at least I see green on my BTC price ticker once again and that is good enough at the moment.

Corps or hackers? Come on, we all know who is dumping these coins and why.
People are panic selling just because we are losing trust after these big mamas getting hacked even with the best security possibly implemented in them.

The charts show volume has been low, and the price has been fairly flat since the hack. It's range bound between $590 and $560. Today it's gone up to $575 with a little pump, and before that there was a little dump. There's not that many coins getting dumped, or bought.

Hackers can't sell all they steal, soo ain't them.........BTC is born to lose to the average joe at least......there is no way as of yet to do a refund or a redo if you send coins to the wrong addy,or if you get hacked at home on your PC,so no,it ain't goin as mainstream as us techies think,so get over thinkin any of the crypto currency is going to take over anything  Cheesy

If all fiat transactions were bank wires, fiat money would have died on the vine & you'd have a great point. As it stands...

So it seems all this payment channely type stuff may not be quite as straightforward as everyone expects.

As consumers or users of bitcoin, we don't necessarily need to know or understand the various technicalities, except to have some faith that other technical folks know and understand what they are doing.

In the end, we work with the interface and if it seems that the funds are secure, then we consider whether it is worth it to us to pay whatever it is that they are charging comparing other competing systems.

Also, even if we are not personally using the various payment systems on a regular basis, we can also remain involved by using the storage of value aspects (hopefully, diversifying, to some extent, our various categories of asset holdings with a reasonable portion held in bitcoin).

It feels like the cryptomarket is just waiting for a solid scaling solution to happen for the price to skyrocket...

Yeah right.  Haven't you figured it out yet that the scaling issue (solution) is just made up?

The fact of the matter is that scaling is always going to be some kind of concern/issue in bitcoin, and accordingly, from time to time there are going to need to be adjustments and tweaks to balancing usefulness, security and spam... Currently, the blocksize limit is not a problem, and it is just a fabricated problem.  There are tweaks in the works including seg wit that are going to bring additional functionality and abilities to process larger volumes...

The other fact of the matter is that the price is merely going through a consolidation that is not really very connected to scaling - but instead just questions about whether the price is going up or down (which includes some considerations regarding whether we are going to experience another Bitfinex fiasco).  The recent bitfinex fiasco likely brings some hesitations concerning whether the next pump is going to be up or down.
