Happy Winter Solstice everyone! Longest night of the year unveils even more strength in our Bitcoin. It signifies the return of the Sun and marks the importance of man's relationship to nature. Without this understanding of our place in the celestial heavens, ancient peoples wouldn't know when to migrate with the herds, when to sow their crops, or when the weather was going to change. The solstice brings the promise of new life as the new cycle begins.

So my question is how influential are Adam's wall threads on the market? Was the settling of the brief uncertainty as to whether we were going to a new thread, to carrying on with the old or both the sign the market needed to have the confidence to start buying in earnest again? Will Adam's decision to go with the new the sign the market needed to no longer worry about going below $50?Thank you Adam for rescuing the Bitcoin market On an (almost) serious note, thanks for flipping over to a new thread and for opening it to off topic too I hope the new influx of bitcaintalk members (and us lot who may sometimes be prone to just post anything) won't make it impractically unwieldy too quickly. I know Adam will read this... Thank you for having supported us from the $50 bottom! Bitcoin, what a hell of story to tell by a fireplace when I'll be old and, hopefully, wise. Run, Bitcoin, Run.

not really. you'd never notice. that's why they're looking off exchange to buy them. these mega buyers seem a little naive to me. there can't be that many people who have access to that many coins and they're also going to know what their future worth might be.

They should just market buy like normal people. It's all upwards pressure anyway.

the only places institutions like that would consider would probably be gemini or itbit if it's still going but they're not exactly dripping with liquidity. i guess they could swamp the daily auctions. i guess they're in the business of letting the minnows raise the price while they sit back and profit.

Thanks for the link. Didn´t know it. Very interesting. I didn't realise their volume was so high with their auctions included. There are frequent days when they have 1000+ bitcoins auctioned. Gemini might become one of the biggest exchanges in the future if its volume continues to increase at the present rate. I used this link to see the data instead of Chainsaw's. https://gemini.com/auction-data/
