Does Stellar still want KYC stuff like passport scans this time around?

No idea. Did they do that last time? That's not very sexy.

Full moon of each month? Jesus Christ, not that I am complaining about free coins... but this is getting weirder any time.

Yes. I think there are a few distribution rounds left. Maybe another 4-6 months or so.

After a quick check I found they want facebook identification proof this time around. Either that or you have to put your bitcoins on an exchange in their list. I suppose facebook identification's better than passport scans.

https://www.stellar.org/blog/bitcoin-claim-lumens-2/

Quote
Participating exchanges (we’ll update this list as exchanges contact us):

Kraken
BTC38
Poloniex
Deribit

Now for the part we’re less excited about.

If you’re not using an exchange, then law requires us to ensure you’re not on the U.S. sanctions list or located in any of the restricted jurisdictions listed above. We’re using Facebook account verification to complete this check.

We know this kind of sucks. Privacy is a top concern for the Bitcoin ecosystem. Stellar.org won’t use your Facebook data for any other purposes and will never post to your account. If you’d rather not share your Facebook information, you can still go through a participating exchange.

So they want whales to put thousands of coins on Poloniex? That's a jolly tempting offer. With a seemingly unliftable withdrawal limit it'll only take them a few months for the honour of getting their own coins back.

One of the exchanges on their list is btc38, which is Chinese and probably won't let you withdraw your bitcoins after you've deposited them, not even at the rate of poloniex's slow drip feed.

I see another ATH after an $80 correction.

I love this kind of growth.

Nice profit to be made as well flipping coins, I've stopped doing this a while ago but there's definitely profit in these corrections. Segwit + 2MB is now being discussed as an issue by some people (read somewhere it's possible only 2mb will be implemented and segwit will somehow be left out of it because of some 'issue'), personally I just want some sort of consensus in either direction, set up a UASF node for the cause. Good times ahead for Bitcoin.

In the top 100 coins on coinmarketcap, I see 98 of them getting pumped right now.

Absolutely insane.

Ok guys, I have finally got my free CLAMS, so it was for real. Got 28 CLAMS for the six addresses I could find that were applicable. That's around 100€... Free money I love it Smiley

Btw, I used Just-Dice to do the claim as gentleman posted, after trying several times to sync the clam wallet to no avail.

So.... what other shitcoins can I get for free?

Sign a message from your bitcoin address for the byteball distribution. You will get a small drip feed of coins at the full moon of each month provided you don't move your bitcoins.

I have downloaded the byteball wallet and chatted with that strange bot, I sent it the signed message but it keeps insisting on me having send 0.001166 BTC to some address. Is that how it is or I am doing something wrong?

Also it is a pain to have to sign a message for each and every one of the addresses my hardware wallet is using. I shouldn't be complaining about free coins though.

Oh, btw, 2000€ seems to be consolidating nicely Smiley

Hmm. You shouldn't have to pay anything if you've signed successfully. Did it confirm that you did?

It requires either a successful signing or that BTC fee.

A message alone should be OK.

Ask for help in the byteball thread.

Back in June 2013 I signed up for 1000 free XRP - well today I converted to them to BTC. Happy days.
This is my first (and last?) time using Ripple. Such a strange user experience. When it works, it's great - fast and cheap. But waaaay to many cryptic error messages. 11 failed attempts before it finally worked.

2013 sign up and a newbie eh?  good lord! i guess you  took lurking to a whole new level eh?...
congrats on your free  btc . hodel!!

I don't know why I''m still a newbie - the system is rigged.

I have been reading this thread just about every day for all these years.... I'm just not very talkative. Oh and my list of blocked users is huge :-)

Anyhow, Stamp is slowly approaching 2300, so that's cool.

well the system doesn't recognize reading only. you have to engage it.
anyway don't be shy.. post freely and welcome

I still have my old Ripples too! Thanks for reminding me. Although it will be a PITA to go through my old hard drives and find the wallet...

You're a newbie, like I am a newbie, because we don't post. My account is already 2 years old, but ... I guess I should post more often.

LOL  I only signed up in order to use the ignore button.  After months and months of wading through crap, I figured it was time.

$2300 passed on bitstamp,  $3150 at Quadriga.  All in a calm and controlled manner.  Can't wait for the excitement  Cheesy
