Roger Ver, who owns ViaBTC

Got any evidence to go with that assertion?

Quote
Bitcoin Cash is NOT a HF of Bitcoin.

By any sane definition, Bitcoin Cash is exactly a hard fork of the Bitcoin blockchain.

Here to pump an altcoin bear? ... things must be getting pretty sad in the anti-core camp?

Just clarifying for the sake of truth. Depending upon the sequencing of things, Bitcoin Cash may be no more altcoin than is SegWit coin (which is somewhat playfully starting to be referred to as Bitcoin-Jr)

Woahza, Jbreher.

You and your big blocker buddies seem really angry, to be devolving into new name calling and spin terms to attempt to perpetuate various made up bullshit.

Deep down inside, you and your buddies realize the fact of the matter is that the incorporation of segwit into the scaling dialogue was really the only way that your buddies were able to perk up the ears of major economic players in the bitcoin space, but yeah, you want to continue to whine about being a victim and being tricked into seg wit when the fact of the matter is that segwit is the better solution, the largely non-controversial solution and the imminent path forward to make bitcoin bigger and better.... so yeah, referring to the upcoming segwit implementation as a kind of junior is to attempt to continue to mislead with foney baloney.

Altcoin bagholders are losing their patience and hysterically try to create something out of nothing. They know segwit will make 99% of the alts obsolete.

Can't wait till a troll hacker replay attacks the BCC transactions on the real Bitcoin Blockchain. This will be firework. xD

Edit: Is RBF inplemented in BCC ? If yes, then this electrum manual (http://docs.electrum.org/en/latest/hardfork.html) won't work anymore. Just asking because I want to be the first to dump.  Roll Eyes

Well according to this website

https://coin.dance/blocks

it is approximately   2480  blocks   (464 blocks left in this period plus 2016 blocks in the next period)

and if there are 144 blocks per day, then that is approximately 17.2 days from today.  That means about August 10 - ish ( or 9-ish or 11-ish).  No?

Ok, that makes sense. I guess we will just bounce around until then unless some needless FUD rears it's ugly head.

No. Fuck. Can't any of you read?

It gets locked in around Aug. 7 (450+2016 blocks from now) and then there is another 2016 block grace period before activation.

Segwit, bip141 goes active on the main chain approx. August 21.

^^ Plenty of scope for bouncing around for ~month: https://medium.com/@jimmysong/uasf-segwit2x-scenarios-and-timelines-1a540336c4be
2017 July 23 18:00 GMT — BIP91 epoch finishes, BIP91 is activated
2017 July 23 18:00 GMT onward — Every block signals BIP141 (Segwit)
2017 July 27 or thereabouts — New Difficulty Adjustment Period Begins (2016 blocks). Every block will be signaling for Segwit.
2017 August 1 00:00 GMT — BIP148 starts, but does nothing since every block is signaling BIP141 due to BIP91.
2017 August 10 or thereabouts — Difficulty Adjustment Period closes with >95% signaling and BIP141 locks-in.
2017 August 23 or thereabouts — Difficulty Adjustment Period closes and BIP141 (Segwit) is active.

^ yes these timelines will be contracted since he wrote, because we're on 8.9 minute blocks/high hashrate

+ Chinese players - other than Wu Jihan - saying things about BitcoinCash:
https://twitter.com/cnLedger/status/889093703381299200
Star Xu, CEO of OkCoin, on Weibo: BCC is just an altcoin; okex will name BCS (BIP91 coin) as BTC after 8\1.

Fact is, in roughly coterminous timeframes, all Bitcoiners will be forced to can choose between: Change A to Bitcoin (backwardly-compatible, no upgrades required) ; or Change B to Bitcoin (non-backwardly-compatible, mandatory upgrade for all users to the new centralised dictates)

Cheers!

cheers!

So it appears the pennant is now complete.

Will the whales put another dime in the juke box, or let it fall? That is the question.

If I was going to fork a coin that had a lot of hidden financial support, one strategy would be to weakly launch it, causing many people (like us) to dump their coins for a very low price, these would be all snapped up by the big blockers for peanuts. A few weeks/months later   the real power push with its hidden money, organisation and marketing would step in.
