My hope is....whatever it pumps to and corrects to...it simply stays above a floor of 3,000.

The fun I had telling folk when BTC was 2,000 was epic. Now telling them that the floor is 3,000 and that BCH paid me on the fork is gonna be great!

Hello all, congrats for the ATH.

Nice surprise waking up to this.

I have some thousands euros on an exchange with buy orders around 2000€, I guess it's not gonna happen.

I'd like to buy some coins in the dips until the end of the year (after that, no more fiat spending from me), but I guess predicting what the dips are going do be is difficult, more difficult in fact that predicting the highs !

1 - $89k, I do not trust round figures. 10k is still fuck all and the first step on the true journey upwards.

2 - Matrix meme. I would only sell anything if it was impossible to spend it directly on the things I want.

3 - Yes. Anyone would be mental not to.

Well Ver did take a good look at Gox's account books when he announced they were A-OK, no problem here folks! Perhaps he mistook them for a play-book?

1/ 10K€ (don't care about USD)
2/ don't know yet, depends of how many BTC I hold at that moment. Ideally I wouldn't need to sell any significant amount as I would like to find a way to earn enough from my stash to live, so let's say I would have 50 coins with a 10% return a year, I would keep the 50 and live off the 5. No lambo for me with that plan, but quitting my job and living near a beach with warm water is all I really need.
3/ definitely keep some coins whatever happens, even if what I've sold means I'm set for life.

Waking up a few thousand dollars richer is always nice. A correction is bound to come, so don't get too excited, but this IS an ATH after all and these are always important. We haven't reached the moon yet, though, so if you are looking at buying in I would wait till another possible correction comes in.

Funny thing is, when i went to sleep, i also saw the "old" new ATH.

New ATHs on every exchange. Pretty early in the morning when my alarms woke me up. And just a few minutes later the price was going up crazy!! $3230+ on Bitstamp and Bitfinex!
You cant get any better start in the weekend right?! Price is doing good so far, but I believe we are going to retrace a bit.Hopefully it will stay above $3k and build a new bottom/support here!

So my technical reason is easy. BIP91 activated 1st august. BIP141 will activate 10th august. So i shooted half of this way and i can make next bet 10 august we will be above 3500 and very near to 4000 in my opinion.

My Account "Spaceman_Spiff" was hacked.  I was stupid enough to reuse a weak password (I figured there was no monetary value involved, but now that it happened I am angry I didn't put in a better password anyway).  I saw this guy has been posting on the forum, probably trying to scam people.
He changed the password and the associated email adress.

Does anybody know which moderator I should contact to flag this issue?  Or is there an email address for support or so?  I would prefer it if they could reset the password and change the email adress to mine again, but obviously closing the account is acceptable also, as long as this guy doesn't use my name to scam people.
