I think I got my answer from their faq...

"Wire transfers are currently taking up to 1 week to process due to the volume of withdrawal requests in queue."

Anyone has a personal experience whether this is accurate?

Took me less than 12 hours to move about $15k into my account last week.  Initiated the transfer via internet banking around midnight, and receive a notification on the successful fund transfer shortly before noon the next day.

Newbie trader here. Would like some trading tips. I see consolidation is happening right around $105.00-$106.00 area for the past few hours. Usually does this mean it will break out upward after or will it drop? Thanks in advance.

Be careful, they will tell you the opposite they think is going to happen to take your money  Grin
I'll give you both scenarios. If the stock remains on 105-106 for the whole week, expect a drop to ~$80 again. if there's a move up in the price, it'll happen during the week, if not, brace yourselves....

If the stock remains right around $105-$106 why would you expect a drop?

Because some sellers need to sell every week at whatever price..
..and they are forced to do this on the weekends.

It's the behavior I have observed lately. Weekend dips are almost a norm, and stability during the week without any bullish behavior results in big drops on weekends.
Sure, feel free to troll all you want, We'll talk on Monday

"Weekend Dip" is being kind. When someone sells large volume on a Sat/Sun the pice comes down. That has happened on two consecutive weekends and is at the root of the current downtrend. Not saying we wouldn't have gone down during the week either, but it certainly is interesting time to put in large sell orders not only on the weekend but at off hours.

I see an accelerating downward trend, punctuated with occasional biggish buys and very short term upwards movement, but then slowly(ish) reverting to down down down.... Smiley

The whales are just filter feeders these days.

This video is over 2 months old.

And why would Kevin O'Leary use such a small exchange?

cavirtex is first class, deposited funds can clear in less then 10 mins. Its the best exchange for canadians

So? If I have many thousands of dollars worth of buying to do, why take such a small exchange?
Not only the slippage would kill you, but so would their 3% fee.
the fees are 0.5% if your a market maker.

1 reason to take your fiat to smaller exchanges would be to buy up as many coins as you can , and not directly affect the mtgox price

The fees are 0.5% only if you have already done transactions for at least 2500 BTC.

You don't affect the MtGox price, but you do affect even more the local exchange price.

truth is his bid will fill, and its not like he would of gotten ALOT more bitcoin if he had when through the trouble of sending to MtGox, and sending money to mtgox doesn't take 10 mins, but at cavirtex it does

First, you don't know if the bid will fill.
It might, if the market goes down.
One thing is certain: they can't buy at market without an insane slippage.

Second, no it doesn't take 10 mins!

Use E-interac like I used to? No, they stopped that.

Deposit money into their RBC account... oh wait no that's closed.

So, using other banks and options:
Online Bill Payment ---> 3 to 5 days, Daily Limit: $10,000.00
Direct Withdraw ----> 3 to 5 days, Daily Limit: $10,000.00

Both assuming you are already verified.

You could still use
Cash deposit ----> Processing Time: Same day, Daily Limit: $3,000.00
But then you aren't such a big player...

So yes, I'm still wondering WTH is happening there.

And BTW, 0.5% fee is still outrageous.

I have something in between of 0.3% and 0.36% at Gox, and I consider it very expensive (and is still quite cheaper than the "default" 0.5%). With the current BTC price and volume, Gox should lower A LOT the fees.

they are a business, why would they lower their fees, when they don't have to ?

Because it's outrageous. I made a rough calculation the other day and I paid them THOUSANDS of € in fees in the last months, trading quite lightly and manually. But yeah, you are right. Until there is no competitor applying reasonable fees, everybody is going to charge the maximum the market allows them. That's how you run a business.

Because they're losing market share, and it might be due to their high fees.  It's especially high when you realize they take the fee from _both_ parties, so they skim 0.6% to 1.0% of every trade.

See this link it shows that there has been a transaction from your wallet to some address. It means the wallet service is root of this problem. And I don't know if they are gonna give you your BTC back or not. Try to contact them by all the ways you can.

https://blockchain.info/tx/489ec924a4162259a940946f4fa1001abe77f7f5430e38bb500d1c358654605d

The address is 1NRMGqPYXwPoAGHiPAMzBgkqCcmgms3hjH which your bitcoins were sent to. And if I see the stats of that address it seems like its a really big company they have more then 600BTCs. Really confusing. It could also be possible that your account was hacked.

I thought my Mt. Gox account was comprimised, it wasn't, I traced it back to a "Hero" member her on Bitcoin Forum, I still have not heard a word back from this Forum admin regarding the theft. I just received a free Yubikey coupon from Mt. Gox, even though it wasn't their fault.

The member who stole my BTC is still here and getting more and more BTC everyday, and even posts here that nobody will help anyone who gets their bitcoin taken in the USA. My BTC is in Germany now. Like I said Bitcoin Forum admin are ignoring me, as is bitcoinwallet.in. I am not going to mention who it is that has taken it, as I am pretty sure it is a group of people, dealing in the XRP (Ripple) Forum. Get free XRP, people want to 'buy' your XRP with BTC, then they get access to your account and empty out your wallet. I have reported this to the proper people and it is up to them if they want to allow crypto to continue to allow criminals to plunder at will, as for me, I am done with crypto currency due to this. Life is too short to constantly worry about getting ripped off, and that is how it will be as long as there is no recourse for being the victim of crime. If anyone can help me get my BTC back, I would appreciate it. My email is gbrandyngarcia@gmail.com , if you can return my 4.02 BTC, please deposit into my Mt. Gox Account: M87178081X
Here is the Bitcoin Wallet address from where it was stolen, 1Vkaz6jgQkbLuGT72ewkwhYkf5nsmcSMJ it is not hard to find figure out, 4.02 deposit, 4.02 sent(Not by me).

Nothing about what you're saying makes sense.

Quote
I am not going to mention who it is that has taken it

You know who it is and you're just not going to say who it is?  Then what is the point of this?    Huh

Quote
I am pretty sure it is a group of people, dealing in the XRP (Ripple) Forum.

Now you're only "pretty sure" you know who it is?   Grin  And first you said you tracked them to the Bitcoin forums.  Which is it?

Quote
Get free XRP, people want to 'buy' your XRP with BTC, then they get access to your account and empty out your wallet

Really?  Exactly how did "they" get access to your account?

Quote
I am a nice person,

Debatable.  You know who this is and won't share thus allow other people to be swindled.  That is if that's what really happened at all.  It's actually starting to sound like a really poor slandering attempt of the Ripple forums and those dealing in XRP's.

Quote
and nice people finish last

Do people still believe this BS?   Roll Eyes  No, fools finish last.  If you gave up your account information and got ripped off, what do you expect?

Quote
time is on my side and I know I will finish.

Not even sure what this means.  Cheesy
