The green daily candle forming today is VERY similar to that of 25th of June, the day after the previous downmove. It is a bearish candle generally showing a failed attempt at a rally. Today looks like another failed rally after a step down. So if history repeats, we may go sideways for a day or two, followed by a continuation of the downtrend ... or not  Wink

Okay, then I'll go long when this pattern is completed. What price should I place my buy order?

I am looking at low 80's as the next target for a decent bounce personally

Man, are you viewing my posts as I'm writing them?  Grin

No, I am writing through you ... muhahahaha

Would not be putting too much money one hitting 104 before we drop again ... TBH I think the top may be in already and we may slide sooner rather than later

If Blitz is looking for what I think he is looking for, then he is looking for a technique called ''Four legged shaggy kung fu master kills the Dodo''.

I am myself looking to use this technique. I would rather not tell you what this technique is all about, because I would then feel the need to kill you.

It's interesting that the other exchanges are consistently trading lower than MtGox's low of 92. This has been going on for over a week now, so apparently there is still no efficient way to arbitrage it.

The amount of Bitcoins for sale on bitcoin.de has jumped from 4k to 5.5k recently. But the price there is in line with Gox.
Have a look at their order book. Once you find a buyer for your coins, the price is pretty close to where you are coming from. Really really interesting, an illusion of sort (at least according the market depth).
Shows me the market is really dissolving. Unless a few big buyers come in, this might get ugly...

But it's only a USD issue, why wouldn't they be taking EUR or YEN?

That's not it. ASIC manufacturers are selling slowly and shoring up the price unnaturally to keep as much profit as possible. They trust Gox, have a rapport with them and wouldn't trust one of the smaller exchanges. There should be a massive drop happening right now but they aren't letting it happen. The other exchanges are showing a natural price based on trade. Gox is showing an artificial price.

False. I recently requested 3 withdrawals, SEPA, 5 figures each, and they arrived to my account in 2/3 days.

Gox has tens of thousands of customers, if all the SEPA transfers had such delays we would see a shitstorm going on in these forums, while we still have $11M on Gox order book and trading goes on despite the low volume. Following my own personal experience, the delays are an exception, and I think if they weren't we would see panic, which we are not seeing

yea that's why every time gox drops a $, the other exchanges do too. there's nothing natural about these markets, everybody is watching what's happening on gox since that's where the big players go.

Plus you can do an international bank transfer instead of a SEPA one, and that shouldn't take more than 48hs.

I kinda agree with QuestionAuthority that Gox is being artificially sustained. I'm not so sure who's doing it tho.

Of course, they are all loosely connected but they aren't traveling together in an exact pattern.

Bitstamp, BTCe and CampBX are.

I thought the whole thing was that Gox had suspended their wires, hence people were crowding the exits at the other exchanges.
