Ok so sometimes in life you need to hold your hands up and say! I was wrong, my predictions were way off and just not very good at predicting the price.  Looks like the bullish mood and the global hype is a lot stronger than i thought.

The meme and word "HODL" came from a misspelling of "hold" posted in a whiskey fueled rant four years ago this month in 2013 on BitcoinTalk. Sellers were panic selling as the market crashed from $900 to $700. HODL was good advice.

They also got caught in BTC-E....   They are still active in the Moneron community.

He mentioned that he had the equivalent of 2000-3000 BTC worth of Monero during the September 2016 rally, so I think he's doing alright unless he totally screwed up.

Did futures killed bitcoin volatility?
C'mon bitcoin.... do something, I'm bored

From here I honestly wouldn't be shocked to see Bitcoin move sideways for a couple months, with constant pumps up and dumps down inside a sideways channel.

Without a lot additional supply, the futures traders know that this market will go nowhere. So they are going to keep shaking the tree and see what falls out.

My bet: nothing will. And eventually they will get weary and just go long.

Yeps my thought also. The only thing that worries me, more and longer than the casino boys, is what will happen with theter and finex.

Not for now, And bitcoin price maintains by Demand and Supply where Future wont do anything with demand and supply that is just like playing a game. Future impact is seen and will be there but future is not going to kill volatility, Corrections are good we need corrections and major volatility will never end until we get the preferred price for bitcoin.

I did this, it is fun:

1. Download the 'eclaire wallet testnet' on your phone.
2. Swipe left, get your receive address (2NEQJkk....)
3. Go to: https://testnet.manu.backend.hamburg/faucet
4. Enter your receive address (or scan the QR code)
5. Swipe app right (twice), click the +
6. Click Autoconnect
7. Put 5 or so mBTC in the "Channel capacity"
8. Wait about 20 minutes (you might need to repeat steps 7,8)
9. Once your Lightning Channel says "NORMAL", swipe left.
10. Go here: https://starblocks.acinq.co and order a coffee.
11. Check out and click the "Scan a payment" with your app.
12. Pay.

As well as with anything by William Gibson. Starting with Neuromancer.

And if you really want your mind == blown, try getting through Steve Aylett's Shamanspace. I dare ya. Double dare ya to read it while high.  Grin

Good morning Bitcoinland.

After last might's excitement we seem to be consolidating between $16k and $16.5k. Didn't quite make a new ATH... currently $16470USD/$21170CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Alts also up... old coins are worth $18143USD/$23320CAD each (Coinmarketcap).

First futures trading is in the books, a couple more exchanges to go. Things are looking good.

Go Bitcoin go.
