Who would actually be stupid enough to actually buy Bcash? lol
Some time ago, I traded a large percentage of my BTC for BCH. Since then, my BCH is up 12x. From that time, my BTC is up too. By a whole 6x. Stupid indeed. I'd ask you to do the math, but you may be too busy calling others stupid to be able to compute 6 into 12. lol good one! I meant stupid in the sense of it being a relatively useless and absolute dead end coin. In light of its inevitable future one would have to be stupid to actually have it and believe in it. But nonetheless, congratulations on your short term profit. Dump that shit soon, though.

I'm assuming he means regular users purchasing BCH instead of BTC before they use it to buy their drugs or whatever. Not traders playing a rally. Absolutely. Gotta know when to say when. Ride that wave of stupid pumpers and exit at the top, sure. Make your gains off of stupid people's delusions.

Fungibility ... means the object in reference can't just randomly transform from an elephant to a flamingo.
idonothinkthatwordmeanswhatyouthinkitmeans.png Fungibility is simply the property that any unit of some substance is functionally equivalent to all other units of that substance. Don't play stupid. You know damn well bitcoin is not fungible nor money by definition, and that an "evolving protocol" is also never going to be fungible even if you do mix the outputs. I bet you've also made conflicting statements before about segwit claiming that it's really a fork or something even though the wallets are technically compatible, thus fit within your definition of equivalence in fungibility. If you assume each transaction type has completely different surface attacks vectors like attempting to turn segwit transactions into anyone can spend transactions or what have you, how could they possibly be fungible? This is the never ending cycle of a so called "evolving protocol". Just about nothing in it is fungible. Yes, but just for fun, are fungi fungible?

GDAX's fiasco with BCH launch today and the news that Charlie Lee has sold all his LTC holding has definitely hurt sentiment. Nothing new for long term hodler, but all those newcomers to GDAX are probably getting a rude shock.

Get real.
Bitcoin has been under attack multiple times because it is a target for a lot of hostilities, whether from Bcash or other various sources,
Get real. Bitcoin Segwit is not under attack by Bitcoin Cash. Rather, Bitcoin Cash is competing with Bitcoin Segwit in the marketplace. Then how would you explain such ridiculous terms as "Operation DragonSlayer"? As you can imagine, Bitcoin is the "dragon" here and Bitcoin Cash is its "slayer". Pretty aggressive tone.

It's been an hour since I transferred BTC from blockchain wallet to Poloniex. I had set the fees quite high. It's still pending with 0 confirmations. Is there a massive backlog?

It looks like this will push the price over 20k.
I don't see any reason why we won't blow through the 20s fairly quickly.
I hope your seastead sinks. Still don't see any reason why 20k would be a barrier since some of the exchanges went over. 15% drop after 1000% gain is just another dip. Same thing happened at $17k. You thought we would blow past so much that you announced it, then opened a short. You're no better than the worst book talkers here. Ya...big announcement. I tend to post my thoughts on current price all the time in the Wall Observer Thread. Those were my thoughts. I closed the short based on what I thought of the price. I've been wanting to close it for a while since the price can pretty much go down to $2k at this point and I still won't have to worry about my retirement so I'm pretty much locked anyway. The ease which we went from $17k to push over $20k showed that it's not a barrier. Definitely don't ever trade based on any of my posts. Half of my posts my tongue is firmly placed in cheek.

GDAX's fiasco with BCH launch today
Welcome to every cryptocurrency where it's like 2 guys who own the entire supply of zero intrinsic value, toxic asset, and try to paint the tape to pretend it has value and extort people pyramid-scheme style: https://bitinfocharts.com/bitcoin%20cash/address/19hZx234vNtLazfx5J2bxHsiWEmeYE8a7kIf I hoard like...all the chickens on earth then try to jack up the price, at least you're still getting something by buying one. In craptocurrency, all you're getting is extorted. Paying for artificial scarcity is probably the most idiotic concept ever invented. If there's a god, the people trying to corner the artificial scarcity market will be the ones left holding the bag.

I owe you one.

We've all seen this before, send a few tranactions, the fees go up, sell Bitcoin, buy Bitcoin Cash, the world is going to end, then everything goes back to normal!
I do have to say though, Bitcoin is so easy to attack for Bitcoin Cash. It was already >300sats per byte to send a transaction that you want to arive anytime soon. They can send a few extra transactions and now the fees are 630sats per byte! That's 21€ for me to send any amount of money, to be a bank beater I better be sending a large amount of money!
I don't see any short term improvements coming either. Those poor newbies, they buy a few hundred bucks worth of Bitcoin, then lose a big chunk of it when they move it to a wallet (I bet they leave it on an exchange ) then if they get spooked by the fall, they send it back and sell. $300 invested, fee to buy, $25 to send to wallet, $25 to send back, fee to sell and fall from 18k to 16k is 11%, so they'd be down about 1/3rd!

Just a quick note about Bitfinex that doesn't give me the fuzziest of feelings.
I pulled off about a quarter of my holdings on Monday. That day they sent out a message to everyone about how US residents using their service were in violation of their terms of service (I thought it was just to me which made me feel a bit uneasy as I was waiting for the withdrawal to be approved).
Yesterday I submitted the withdrawal for the remainder of my bitcoins. They did some checking on my account because they responded to a past e-mail I sent asking if US citizens that were not residents were in violation of their terms of service (they assured me I was not). The e-mail was saying that they wanted me to set up 2FA (I assume to verify what my residency is). Such digging into my account should not need to happen for a simple withdrawal of bitcoin.
