I don't understand how some people are expecting the price to drop when we have more and more news such as this http://bitcoinowl.com/cointap-brings-bitcoin-walmarts-and-7-elevens and there will be more to come in the next year.
Sell the news.

So everytime you read good news you sell your coins. Is that correct?

You gotta understand that TERA is infallible...even when he's wrong he just keeps on making predictions and spewing homilies.

Now I know how much you like people who keep making predictions like that, shroomsy...lol

The question was.. [why would someone sell if there is good news], and I have an answer why someone might do that - a common investor/trader saying.

Meanwhile...

Haha it's not really about making predictions but more that a bunch of people present them as 100% fact and never seem to notice they are wrong all the time.

Hilariously, what we think of as digital signatures (cryptographic) are pretty much just an afterthought to most of those laws.  Typically, those laws are about fax machines, and web buttons labelled "I agree" and other such nonsense.

Bullshit. If you made a website with the following elements:

"I own all your shit now" and a button stating "I agree"

A visitor clicking said button would not transfer ownership.

Similarly a "these are Risto's coins" message is not a contract and isn't binding.

You ever buy a house?  Odds are really good that one or both of the agents in the deal uses a website that presents documents with a fancy version of the "I agree" button.  They don't usually use it for the closing or the note (where you agree to pay the money back) because those need to be witnessed, notarized and recorded.  But for everything else (purchase contract, disclosures, etc), it is a bunch of clicking.

China looks a bit bearish now, while Bitstamp looks bullish with over 18M of fiat sitting on their books now. Who will decide the outcome? Or will we just see more sideways action for a while?

Crossing "Choo Choo" with a bear, and a general girl-obsessed theme of this thread, you get this:

Hint: "Chewbacca"

That feels pretty bearish to me!!!

Maybe 6 more months of 900~ before the next boom.

Why? If you are correct that we have steady period ahead of us, why not 1-3 months?

To those of you thinking we're gonna have 3-6 months of sideways like after April.... YOU GUYS ARE CRAZY.

Time's running up. As I said the other day, the Bitcoin cat is out of the bag !

Waiting (in April): "hmm big crash, what will happen to Bitcoin... let's wait and see..."

Waiting (now): "hmm is that it? I'll wait till it goes just a little bit lower so I can buy a shitload of coins"

There won't be any steady period of *months*. Such systems are unpredictable with a certainty of >90-95% (or if some of you here prefer: are predictable with a probability of <5-10%) for timeframes larger than a day. Anything else is just a hunch and everyone can have his/her own.

So here's my hunch:

Within a couple of days we will be above $1000 on Gox (and I'm not betting on it). Right? Grin

If support holds around 867 again things will turn bullish very quick.
