Sorry for my ignorance but what does this chart actually mean? Nothing, which is why I have it ignored. it means alot. its shows everyones bids and ask. you should not focus solely on the bids and asks to do your trading, but it a useful piece of info. You could see it on many other places in some normal, not fancy-confusing way. Ignored for months this chart is for the pros its not at all confusing when you understand this bid/ask sum, charts. I must be a proud amateur then I don't need any 3d fancy chart to check bid and ask sums.

IF CHINESE PEOPLE ARE WORRIED THAT BANKS WILL STOP PROCESSING PAYMENTS TO EXCHANGES WHY ARE THEY SELLING THEIR COINS ON THOSE EXCHANGES FOR FIAT. WOULDN'T IT MAKE MORE SENSE FOR PEOPLE WITH FIAT TO BUY LIKE CRAZY SO THEY CAN EASILY GET THEIR COINS OUT OF THE EXCHANGE ?
1. most small investors cannot create accounts on western exchanges 2. the FUD says they have time until Jan 31 to withdraw fiat from the bank.

it is still early for me to buy back, maybe I will wait for 600-650 if this wont happen, than I will withdraw my cash , But I am still not convinced about going up, I think we will be testing the 600 today-tomorrow exactly same here. 20k waiting for real cheap stuff, if it doesn't happen, I'm way overdue to withdraw some fiat from my bitcoin adventure.

1.947 BTC profit after covering my previous losses. Had a couple of near-botched trades on these waves, but managed to recover.
Now I am going to be a disciplined guy and transfer this profit from the exchange and to cold storage.
My current strategy is to trade with a fixed BTC sum. Once I am over it, the excess gets transferred out until both sums are in balance, at which point, I will increase my trading threshold a little.
That's actually a good idea for me as well. I do most of my trading on Stamp (My volume there means I have lower fees) but it also means there can be quite a lot of slippage in price when trading. It's not really helpful to keep trading a growing pot as eventually you stop being able to buy/sell all of it at one good price. I've made that observation as well. The best trades are in the 5-10 BTC range. It becomes cumbersome to have bids/asks over 25BTC.

I was thinking it would be nice to have an 'auto-bidder' that would places your bids automatically but spaced out in a seemingly random fashion so that to human traders it doesn't look so much like telegraphing your next move.

Asks and bids depth on MtGox portrayed on extremely confusing and stupid artistic way. Actually it shows how the bids and asks charts changed over the last 1 hour, every few minutes. The most recent situation is at front. You can see here, for example, that someone had ~900 BTC for sale at 850 USD, but cancelled the offer at ~14:10. A few minutes later another sell offer of ~100 BTC at 845 USD was cancelled. Over the last half-hour, someone who was offering 50-100 BTC for sale at 880 USD gradually lowered the ask price to 850 USD. At ~14:15 someone else cancelled a bid to buy ~700 BTC at 800 USD. And that is pretty much what happened at Mt Gox during that hour. The "current price" oscillated between 840 USD and 810 USD but on very small transactions. [/quote]

5800 CNY No Harping on you cause you were right for to wait for 6100 to break with volume.. but do you think 4800 cny is more likely? We could go to 5800 CNY but I would be really surprised. And it still wouldn't mean that the downtrend has reversed. But yes I expect more sub-5000 CNY even if support seems to be quite strong at the moment. This for example. well wtf you agreed with me we could go as high as 5800. ( that was indeed what the market was targeting as the high ) it failed to make it...no one was surprised.

This forum really need to be called: Manipulation for Noobs 101. Anyone who makes any judgment based of anything said here is making huge mistakes, look at facts, BTC few years ago, buy some for a few bucks... BTC bouncing near $1000 at the end of 2013... need anyone say more. All noobs, here is how you get rich. take every paycheck and fiat you can get your hands on and buy Bitcoins. what price, any price. As long as you keep buying through out the new year. You will make money. Hands down. The key is to never panic sell. Anyone who thinks BTC wont be worth over $1200 in December or 2014 is hands down re tarted!
