I see weak knees already. But let’s give $7,000 a fair chance.

Hm. Are we holding at almost 400 transactions a second?

Remember when 3 tps would crash the network?

I'm thinking this whole Bitmain IPO document is a complete fabrication.

Why? Because if they really did make that much net revenue in half a year's time, then they'd never have a need to take the company public.

Period.
Unless that figure is 90% bcash.

Bloomberg (https://www.bloomberg.com/view/articles/2018-09-27/bitmain-s-prospectus-reveals-a-lot-about-bitcoin-s-wild-ride?srnd=premium-europe) says
Quote
Bitmain holds twice as much cryptocurrency as it does fiat
And I suspect that it's even more than 66/33. Why? Because 90% of 2018 income was hardware sales, most of which likely payed in bcash. The exact published figures can be adjusted by slightly cooking the books.

I agree, unless it was totally unsustainable, then they can share out the fail.

Those types of dreams are the best (in the sense that it's quite interesting how stupid our brain is).

I kept hitting refresh on that linked page, and the Tps varies a lot each time that I refreshed the page.  Most of the time it was in the 25 tps range - but sometimes it bounced up over 100tps or even over 300tps.... So I am not really sure about the meaning, but it does appear that a lot of transactions are being processed and much more than double or even quadruple the previous proclaimed 7tps maximum from a year ago or so.

Hmmm, long/short ratio flipped last night.   Usually means many want the price to rise.  Just little skeptical because it's still kind of weak and those longs close really fast.

SegWit are normal transactions. So yes, they are counted.

Lightning transactions take place off-chain. So no, they are not counted... It's sort of the entire reason why they exist in the first place...

Seen it on Coinbene too. Some satanic ritual is being held over to bitcoin. Don't know what might come up next.

Yep, looks pretty bad again, no volume and a bearish candlestick formed today so probably just another lower high, not necessarily that bad overall.

I can't wait to start seeing tread titles.   Why is BTC so expensive???  No normal person can buy it.

Duh! because you didn't buy when it was down.  I was buying every month from 2013 to 2016 with what I could afford to play with.  Probably 200 to 400 a month and a few bonus checks.  Just a pretty cheap car payment and it didn't devalue like a car would have.  So just put in a car payment worth to see at the end of 5 years if you can buy a car with it.  I'm sure you could buy whatever damn car you like by then.

I bought 2 side by sides.. YXZ1000R and a Wolverine, 24' enclosed trailer and a RV to tow all my toys with.
