There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, which will follow the rules of the network no matter what miners do. Even if every miner decided to create 1000 bitcoins per block, full nodes would stick to the rules and reject those blocks.

A huge amount of people cannot withdraw their BTC from Gox anymore, and it´s gettin more hour by hour. Right now it´s about 20957 BTC that are stuck, probably more.

If anyone wants to pay my legal fees I'd gladly sue Gox for you in Japan.

Is that even possible? Here in Brazil at least, one cannot sue someone for damages done to a third person.  I bet that there is a Latin term for that...

How ironic that in almost every criminal as opposed to civil trial, the government is doing exactly that.

gox report show this number drops down every once in a while (then it goes back up), which would seem to indicate that they are processing some for the TX's periodically.

So probably just a small backlog.  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Maybe they are only allowed to do 1 TX per user in 30 days. It´s not their fault, nobody can blame them! Fact

THE BITCH IS BACK

Hey y'all.

I've been taking a break from BTC/Crypto due to ongoing issues with Gox whihc my hubby has been tackling.  He has been posting here asking for advice but keeps being met with stony silence (really, you can be a rude bunch at times).

I'm not going to go into the details with Gox since there seems to enough FUD to power a small African nation but we've just transferred a small amount out of the Goxbox no problems.

Question: anyone had success moving GBP out of Gox and will they, in theory, except transfers directly to other exchanges (or does it have to go to an account with your name)?

Hope you are all well, see Adam still choochooing away.  Cheesy

Love
nan

(Warning - Extreme bearish FUD)

Ahahahah just found this:

It all fits together.

... is about to leave the building

Post on reddit that is claiming Mt. Gox let go of a bunch of staff today- especially on the support side. Timing seems interesting if true. Can anyone confirm this?

/db

I can confirm that i received regular updates on my open issue up until last thursday, I have not heard a word from support since then
