A thought experiment

........ It rallies to $5350

My long gets cashed out. The short gets a little larger. Not that much without a long covering.

Then it drops , and smashes through all support to $1150

The short gets cashed out too. I am flat, quite a bit richer and flabbergasted.

Then the unthinkable happens... and it drops again

to $530.....

Markets are haywire, trading platforms freezing up, going off line, metric sites are spewing out jibberish


On Finex it flashcrashes to $75

Coinbase flashcrashes to $50 and goes offline

The price rises to $750 and stabilises for 6 hours

Still stymied, I'm scrambling to digest what the fuck happened.
My questions on the WO thread remain unanswered, my attempts at a rational discussion submerged in noise and weee's. I consider putting Proudhon on ignore, but eventually decide against it.
I try to buy physical if I get the the time.

It drops to $350 and becomes stable for a day........... What are you guys doing at this point and up to this point? what is your next move? are you rekt? are you happy, are you trading hand over fist? are you drinking? are you jumping out of a window?

I'm richer and probably a bit greedier. If I have any fiat left, I might buy some more physical, but won't be trading for at least a few days.

(Bonus question- Bitcoin SV OR Bcash or Ripple or Doge or  ETH or some other shitcoin is simultaneously going parabolic and either Craig or Rog or Vitalik are on youtube shit talking about how they are now number one, what are you doing? did you FOMO SV or Bcash, Doge or ETH or rando shitcoin? or no because rekt, rage quit, drunk etc)

If it's SV going parabolic, my bcashABC short would probably turn into a significant asset. Provided it's still open: I haven't cashed it out yet, but the itch grows stronger every hour.

I refill my short in the high 4K and worry a bit when it hits $5k. Then hit a lot of physical limit orders on the way down and then scramble to the bank when it drops under my last limit order in the $500s.

yep...same...at least with 53% of my stash I made on the original KNC Jupiter BTC miner.

dumped 13% the other 24% is also on HODL, above the other 53% of my hoard ...to dump, if needed.

 I have enough for my next 2 years of retirement in cash this year, I've dumped AND ride the 53% HOLD left into the dirt as well.

at least with all this I now have 'complete clarity' on WTF I'm doing...kinda odd after 5 years in BTC and crypto.

but ack! 13% of hoard is down...24% is in limbo for dumping depending on future prices and 53% is as you say, HODL till dirt ie...zero out of spite.

I imagine the way my luck is going, next week craig wright will produce private keys and prove he is Satoshi..just to further drive me to despair.

would be damn tough ..to get any $$$ or crypto swap for other coming up coins..in the future..retired.. these whole crypto altcoins and BTC was

supposed to carry me for the next 2.5years, left till my  retirement without touching my BTC hoard and/or my traditional investments and social security

till I was a full 66 years.

I doubt that scrambled brain is merely based on length of posts, but instead being in the ballpark of reasonable discussion points.

I will grant you that reason does vary between peeps, but some levels of speculation are just out there way too much.

My posts scrambling your brain, might be a different kind of variation of reason, but would not necessarily mean that the post had been based on some really "out there" scenario, like you just presented.... trolls do that sometimes, by bringing up really out there scenarios... by the way, I don't believe that you are a troll based on this post from today or what I recall about your posting track record.

Hopefully, you will provide your response after a few other people respond  (presuming that a few other peeps will respond, like d_eddie already entertained you).   Personally, I think that I engage in enough speculating and typing in response to what I believe to be more likely scenarios that are being proposed (and my attempts to agree or disagree with them) including my other all-over-the-place responses.

I just hodl. I wouldn't buy anything else, regardless if it was number one. If BTC goes below 1000, crypto is done anyway, I would just forget about it and live my life.

I agree that V8 certainly traps me into meriting him more than I would like to.  And, I will concede that a large number of the active WO posters are guilty of various kinds of ways to quote ourselves and our prior posts.  On a personal preference level, I do kind of give more credit to the posters who are more subtle about it.
