I really have absolutely no fucking idea what the price is gonna do next. Bitcoin is like a box of

The overall price has been relatively easy to predict this year, and the general trend for the next year seems quite obvious to me. (maybe that means I'm wrong ?)

Price will explode. Just because politicians will screw everything up. Just a matter of time. Grin

It's one of the few places left where you can spend your bitcoins online.

Unfortunately.

I'm to the point of considering ordering a credit card. My Amex was supposed to be only for emergencies but I've racked up plenty of useless sky miles over the past year with it.

Two words: Shift card.

More words: spend your Bitcoin at any place that takes Visa.

Since you brought it up jbreher, notice that the Shift card uses BitcoinTM and only BitcoinTM. Not your BCash shitcoin or any of its idiotic variants, nor any of the 30+ some odd shitcoins that Coinbase plans to bring online soon.

Gee, I wonder why that is? Lol.

That's not very good criteria (Coinbase and all...).

I do not doubt that at some point BitPay will forsake all profit and drop Bitcoin for Bcash as the only accepted currency.

They already hardly accept bitcoin. They advertise Bcash every transaction, adding transaction fees for each bitcoin transaction, eating bcash transaction fees.

I'd ask how they even stay in business but I'm sure their bcash shilling pretty much shows where they're getting the money to keep their doors open.

If they're betting everything on that horse, they won't be in business for very much longer.

Proof that contrary to what tons of people are saying, there is no real cycle through the year in crypto.

Each week, each day might be the big short or the big long one and you can't really know it beforehand.

January has not been that great for bitcoin. Everyone paying their credit card bills for Christmas...

Also, new tax year to sell bitcoins.

Wonder how all those shorts will be able to cover if there's not that many BTC for sell.   I'm estimating at least 200k margin'd shorts out in the wild right now.  All the sell order books are thin and don't even have that many until way above 10k.   If this price suppression doesn't hold, oh wow it's gonna be a blow off top for sure.

They don't need bitcoins to cover shorts. All they need is more newly printed dollars to place as margin collateral and they can sell more bitcoins without having even a single satoshi. Fed dollar ponzi will crash all at once. This is why US desperately need a major war to justify the marshal law on their soil.

Both Tom Lee and Mike Novogratz no longer "calling bottoms". Probably out of sheer embarrassment.

Bullish AF.

Side note: When Mike stopped calling bottoms in 2014-15 (because he continued to be wrong), we actually bottomed in early 2015.
